@ScottKilbourn Agreed. Ofra is my favorite singer of all time, forever, and I am heartbroken she's no longer here to make music. If you have diverse tastes though, there are other world female artists who come close to her perfection. I can recommend Natacha Atlas (techno Arab fusion) and Eivor Palsdottir of the Faroe Islands (Scandinavian folk/world). Both ladies have amazing voices, Eivor especially has a whistle register like no other and can "wail" similar to Ofra. Check out "Livandi Tro."
@ScottKilbourn I prefer to look for artists in Ofra's calibre among other nationalities because I fully believe that there is only one Ofra, even though other Isreali/Yemeni singers have been touted as the "next" Ofra (i.e. Shlomit Levi), I just don't believe in the hype. They don't even come close. I prefer to find, say, the "Scandinavian Ofra Haza," if you will. :) I realize though that not everyone who is into Israeli music might necessarily be into Scandinavian folk or Arab for that matter.
@NaguibZidan Your response is from 2 years ago, but anyway.... The person you've replied to is referring to the writing that is scrolling in the video. Are you referring to this, or the music? You're better off stating a fact (if it's correct) and walking away. Not calling people idiots.
She is Angela Dohrmann, an American actress who did a stint on Much Music here in Toronto in the very early 90s. She played Donna Chang on 'Seinfeld', as well as Suzie in the 'Drew Carey Show', and Stacy in 'Nash Bridges'.
