They have had their own Portico in the menue for quite some time now, it sounds awesome and is cheaper. Regular price tag reads £ 32,- but at the moment it is on sale for £ 19,20.
Analog Obsession has also a plug-in version of the Portico 5033 EQ, it's called Fiver. I can not compare as I never heard the original unit or the noise ash need 533. Your review sounds promising, will try. Thx 🙂
We have a 511 portico 500 series preamp in the recording studio, and I’m surprised how much I love it. Even over an API 512c on some material. Portico stuff rocks!!
Man Two of these are always going be on my Music Going in and Out bus when mastering in studio One...that way you can get to 10 Different Frequencies at one time...EQ on the Music going in and Tone shape on the Music going out...
The Chandler curve bender is a completely different design. What I like about the Portico is that vivid high shelf. I love it on the mixbus. The Chandler is just a different flavour. To me they are not really comparable. Just my opinion.😊
@@runemidsun Keep in mind, they both shine at different things! One doesn't replace the other. I'd see the Portico on the mixbus and the Bender in the mastering chain.
