"Love Of A Lifetime" is definitely my favorite Firehouse song, but this one is also great. You have to hear their first hit, "Don't Treat Me Bad." It came out in 1991. That's more of a Jay song. 😎
I agree with everyone in that your next Firehouse song needs to be “All she wrote”. Then do “Don’t treat me bad” and “When I look into your eyes”. Guarantee you will love them.
The nicest and most respectful gentlemen I have met at a fans signing. My son was 8 and he wanted to go. I took him. He had them sign his guitar case and told him it was his birthday. They sang happy birthday to him and made his day! The came back to town and had another signing. Of course my son wanted to go. He got up to the band and they remembered him. He did have hair down to his waist but still I was impressed they remembered. I was hanging back and CC stood up and said you must be mom. The entire band stood up and shook my hand and told me how much they respected me for allowing my son to be himself a real rocker. My son is now 40 and loves a lot heavier music and is a rehab counselor and this is still a favorite memory for him.
Shake and Tumble or Don't Treat Me Bad will have you believing Firehouse is a glam hair band. But their ballads are so well done. There's a reason so many of us were married to this soundtrack.
Firehouse, is a superband, with amazing musicians! They have great ballads, but you also have to react to the first video, single, and it's a rocker". Don't treat me bad! Other rockers you've got to do are " all she wrote, reach for the sky, home is where the heart is, and overnight sensation! They are also great live! ❤❤❤❤
The whole band was fire rest in peace CJ You were fine human being in the world is a bit darker without you in it. Thank you for the great music and incredible artistry I'm glad I got to see you several times and also dance with my wife for our first dance to this exact song
Wikipedia article for this single: "A power ballad, the song reached number 26 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 20 on the Adult Contemporary charts. It is generally considered to be the last song released by a 1980s style glam metal band still classified as such to make a significant impact on the charts, something notable because it was released in 1995 which was a full three years after the genre was pushed out of the mainstream by the grunge movement." Since, you guys really like their love ballads, definitely finish up this trilogy of hits w/ "When I Look Into Your Eyes".
CJ Snare, the lead singer for Firehouse, passed away a few days ago on Friday, April 5th. It's unbelievable and sad. Thank you for reacting to this Firehouse video. He was an incredible talent with a unique and beautiful voice. May God bless his soul!
Don’t forget When I Look Into Your Eyes and the one CJ wrote for his daughter when she was two years old Here for You. She mentioned this fact at CJ’s Memorial Tribute.
Love this band. You should check out Reach for the sky. Or When I look into your eyes. They have some heavier songs as well. One of my faves is Home is where the heart is.
Firehouse lead singer just died Friday night. Do a reaction video to SHAKE & TUMBLE, if you want to hear one of their GREAT, ROCKIN' non-ballads. Rest in Peace, CJ Snare😢
Rest Easy CJ, it broke my heart when I heard the passing of one of my favorite and greatest singers. You folks gotta do a reaction on "When I look into your Eyes"...😭
"All She Wrote" and "Don't Treat Me Bad" are two songs you need hear from them. I remember when their first cassette (yes cassette) came out I wore it out, loved it.
TOTO - " 99 " you guys gotta check this song out too , and yes I guess the GiRL he's singing about her name is actually Ninety Nine but it's actually a really great song with really good vocals and instruments
It is a shame that most people don't remember Firehouse, they are such a great band with SOOOOO many good songs. You've now heard some of their ballads, but their faster paced songs like "reach for the sky" and several others and absolute bangers. Please dive into the Firehouse rabbit hole, you won't regret it!
Great band! Seen them live countless times and they always nail it. Their first 4 studio albums are all stellar. If you’re looking for good rock from them, “All She Wrote”, “Don’t Treat Me Bad”, “Sleeping With You” and “Reach For The Sky” are all great. If you’re looking for another ballad, “When I Look Into Your Eyes” is amazing and was our wedding song. Great vocals on that one.
I remember recommending that a while back, not takig credit, but is definately a beautiful song. It came out when grunge was becoming more popular. It was '94 or '95. Another Great Firehouse ballad is "Dream baby Dream". God Bless You Guy's!!
RIP CJ Snare Firehouse wrote probably the best music of the late 80's and the 90's and beyond. There's a lot of bands of that time but firehouse's stood out over all the other bands. Reach for the sky CJ Snare you will be sadly missed.
I was a teenager in the 90s and this was my music. It was really tough being a Ballads Fan in a Grunge Time. But I always gave GFs some amazing mix tapes.
Wow! I would go see a band called Maxx Warrior and even went to see their last show when they were breaking up. So, the singer C.J. and bass player Perry ended up going into what became Firehouse. Once again I am old as all get out but so happy I got to see the birth of stars in my galaxy.
Rip. CJ. Maybe you guys could play all she wrote today, I’ve seen this band so many times live recently and they still sounded great,We lost a great vocalist
Ballads are a part of the Glam Metal/Rock scene. Most of Firehouse's music is straight up rock that you will both love. These guys can hit just as hard as they can hit the heart with their love songs.
The Needle and Your Pain from the band LILLIAN AXE is a simple, yet powerful song that had me in tears the first time I heard it. Thank you both for your channel. I love your insight, your positivity and the blessings you give us. Have a joyful Easter!
Firehouse - Somethin bout your body....nice rocker with a funk blue groove. Another Good Ballad is Here For You..it has a great video and that acoustic feel " Trying to make living" is another good song
Thanks for revisiting Firehouse. A couple of higher octane tunes by them is Reach for the sky, Rock on the radio, Lovers lane and helpless. One of my favs has got to be Shake and Tumble. Enjoy the ride of our generation of rock. 🙂
Don’t Treat Me Bad and All She Wrote are my Favorite Firehouse Songs. Reach For the Sky and When I Look Into Your Eyes are also good. I honestly don’t remember this song. Wondering why you chose this one to do next. ALSO PLEASE get back to Queensryche!!
😢Very sad news. CJ Snare the lead singer of Firehouse died on the 5th. Another couple of songs to listen to by them is "Don't Treat Me Bad" and "When I Look Into Your Eyes".
