Hi guys,my wife and I went to see Tom Jones in concert on Saturday night. Absolutely amazing still,83 years old and entertained us for 2 hours. Two songs.."I'm growing old" and " I won't crumble if you fall" will tug at your heartstrings.
Guys???? This is about the third time that I have heard you say that the video of Tom kissing the women was the first time that you heard him. Those of us that have been around since your inception know that your first time hearing Tom was him singing "I'll Never Fall In Love Again" Ambers reaction was unforgettable, actually both of you were floored and commented on the power of his voice and the ease that he could ramp up the tempo. Also in the comment section of that video, Tom himself replied to thank you for liking his music. Then for some reason the video was deleted from your archives. Puzzling !!! Also, have you forgotten Tom and Janis, no suit in that wild video.
Went to see Sir Tom Jones last weekend. 83 years old. Very cheeky chappy with an awesome voice still. I just sat, and watched and listened. Unlike others who had their phones out videoing. They missed so much by doing this. It was a stunning concert. 👌
Saw him on Wednesday at Manchester Arena. 83 years old and he was on stage for 2 hours. He shared stories from his past between songs and finished his encore with a Christmas tune. Really wonderful evening.
This song shows the power Tom has in his voice still does to this day and he's now 83, as a fellow Welsh person I'm proud of our Tom's success. 🏴
Thank you so much to whoever suggested this; he’s a God-given talent who has no equal! It’s been too long between Tom Jones songs; if you want to see him in a duet with another God-given talent, check out him and Dolly Parton singing “Green, Green Grass Of Home”; a live performance on The Dolly Show. He has a full beard at that time. “Green, Green Grass Of Home” is an American classic, brought to life, ironically by a Welsh singer - Tom Jones❤❤❤❤❤
He is a judge on UK talent show 'The Voice' and there is a great compilation of him on RU-vid, where the audience encourage him to sing. It normally happens a couple of times per series.
You guys are the best reaction video couple out there. What's great about you guys is there's no video & genre you won't show. I also love how chill you guys are, Very authentic.
I just found a very young Tom Jones and the Squires recording on RU-vid. He’s singing I Can’t Stop Loving You. You need to listen to that. It shows he had that talent at a young age.
Loved your reaction to the song by Tom Jones, your physical reaction, as well as your verbal action was right on in both cases. I agree this music is a treasure and something we may never hear again new.
Thank you for continuing to react to Tom Jones! He's such a fantastic vocalist and performer. My mom adored him and played his records, so I grew up on him. She and I saw him in probably 1979 or so, and it was amazing! I know there will never be another who can match Tom, but in this song, I couldn't help but wonder what John Legend would sound like if he covered it?
Tom Jones had a television show at one time. We watched it once a week. We played Delilah at my brother’s funeral. He loved that song! My favorites, Thunderball and What’s New Pussycat.
He wears a suit on "The Voice" tap in Tom Jones the Voice in RU-vid and still banging out records and at the moment on a World Tour 😱 with two hip replacements, what a Welshman👍
He is very personable on stage like you said. Still now when he responded to a sing yall did of his. He personally thanked you. I also liked What's new pussycat. It was always one of my favorite songs of his.
Such a voice! Now will you FINALLY do Tom and Crosby Stills Nash & Young doing "Long Time Gone" on Tom's TV special? I mean, Tom's big beautiful voice AND the CSNY harmonies? How can you resist that?
Always glad to see you listening to the incredible Tom Jones. As long as you’re on the subject, I’m begging you (for the fourth time) to PLEASE listen to “I’ll Never Fall In Love Again” … 1967 black & white LIVE television performance. It’s one of his best songs & Tom belts out one of the greatest, jaw-dropping vocal performances, ever captured on tape…& it’s Live! ❤️😎🎸 Love U guys!
Actually, the very first Tom Jones song they reviewed was I'll Never Fall In Love Again. I searched through their archives and it seems to have been deleted. Tom Jones himself left a note in the comments, thanking them for liking his music. Too bad that video is not available.
Tom Jones definitely performed without a suit. My visual image of him onstage is in jeans with a huge collared white shirt unbuttoned down to the sternum. THAT is Tom Jones.
most singers just sing the song........Tom Jones lifts the words off the page and a picture with his voice there will never be another Tom Jones ......
So glad you brought back Tom Jones. You are right. We will never see music like this again. It’s sad. I love that you appreciate what true great music really is.
The green green grass of homeis a must if you havent heard it. Tom of course is Welsh and no nation is more famous for their vocals than the Welsh. All done with consumate ease as well just like Shirly Bassey. If your not sure about the Welsh connection to voice. Do yourselves a favour and look up the Welsh Rugby fans singing their national anthem Bread of Heaven. These are just ordinary people.lol.
You should check his other song from that same decade, If I Only Knew. He also did a duet with Tori Amos called I Wanna Get Back With You and of course his cover of Prince's, Kiss.
Always wonder why my Wife preferred Tom Jones , I absolutely loved Engelbert more , however with her recent passing and discovering that Tom sang this it does make sense baby .❤ R.I.H.😢.
He played to a packed arena here in Manchester a couple of nights ago ! Still a great performer ! You need to react to I'm Coming Home - beautiful song!!
If any guy today could sing with that same level of sexy confidence that Tom Jones exudes without using auto-tune or other modern tricks, he'd be world renowned too. Tom Jones is a one-in-a-lifetime experience, and I feel fortunate to have lived in these times to have heard him sing. Nothing's better than a great voice, and Sir Jones has it🥰
You did forget the first time you saw Tom Jones perform, before kissing girls on stage. It was the very emotional, "I'll Never Fall in Love Again." You should check out some of Tom's many duets with other great artists: Wilson Pickett, Jerry Lee Lewis, Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, Joe Cocker, Dolly Parton, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, the Supremes... the list goes on and on.
You loved the horns of Blood Sweat & Tears when you reacted to "Spinning Wheel." It's been too long. Get back to that groove with "Lucretia Mac Evil." So good! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CGMGBYfg334.htmlsi=5IuFMmPFIHLAFu1u
Always Loved His Upbeat Big Hits, but never recall hearing this... never bought his music. But This Does allow him to Spotlight his Amazing & Powerful Voice! Sweet song, but I think it appeals more to the Ladies! Fun seeing Amber kind of 'swoon' to his voice. :) Great Reaction Guys!
Great video. It is always so good when reactions are done on songs that are considered deep cuts. It shows that Tom is not just a greatest hits singer. That whole album 'This Is Tom Jones' is fantastic.
Many thanks for your reaction. Tom Jones has recorded all types of music: Rock/Soul/Blues/Country/Ballads/Standards/Pop/Jazz/Gospel/Disco. In 1994 Tom had a very big hit wordwide with "If I Only Knew," a great uptempo song. It would be great if you could react to this song, I think you will be suprised when you hear it.....🙂🙂Best regards from Sweden.
You know Tom Jones was a judge on The Voice UK, right? If not there are plenty of videos with him on there. He andJHUD did duets so there is Tom Jones moments and JHUD moments. They're fun!
The word swavay reminds me of a friend. Instead of cool, suave, and debonair. He would say I’m cold, swave,(rhymes with wave) and deboner. (He says it kinda naughty) He is a card and makes us laugh with his little twists on words and language.
Tom Jones i grew up on. My mother loved his voice . We watched his tv show. Amber, just a side note-- Tom got married around 15. His wife was around13yrs old. They were married up until his wife passed away about? 5 or more years ago from cancer. He kept his personal life private. Not many knew much. He acted tthe flirt and darn right he was set as heck in the 70s. Still has that appeal. But he always has been a classy man.. look up tbe exact dates. Im not right on money i know. Another croomer my mom and i l 8:31 iked same time popular was Engelbert Humpeldink ( real name Jimmy Dorsey) didnt have the power Tom had. but great quality. My opinion. " please release me" was a huge favorite of mine
I think you'd really enjoy exploring some more of Tom's duets / collaborations with other artists. The number of people he's worked with shows his versatility right across all genres. Check out some tracks from his 'Reload' album (1999).One of the biggest hits was 'Momma told me not to come' with the Stereophonics but I also *really* like 'Motherless Child' with Portishead - blows me away - very spiritual sound & really showcases T's powerful voice. Also, if you haven't already, you should take a look at both Stereophonics and Portishead in their own right.
Please you have to do "If I Only Knew", from the opening scream to the funky horns Tom kills it. Bonus he also does a little rapping in this one. Cool video also.
Tom Jones and Art Of Noise - Kiss (Prince cover) Chris Isaak - Wrong to Love You The Platters - The Great Pretender Dusty Springfield - You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me Queen - Dreamer’s Ball
He has some amazing duets. Check out Mama told me not to come with fellow Welsh rockers The Stereophonics (another rabbit hole to go down....please listen to their song Dakota! A huge band across the world with a great lead vocalist ) another song with the band Garbage with a Talking Heads cover of Burning Down the House. Keep exploring guys!
