Weight loss surgery was the best decision for me. Ladies and gentlemen, do whatever you feel is medically necessary to save your own life. I am a Registered Nurse that had weight loss surgery. As a medical professional, my doctor and I made the decision for me to have weight loss surgery. It was my business, and nobody else's. Your weight loss surgery is your business and nobody else's. I support each and every one of you who decides to have surgery.
I agree with you 100%! Her words are infuriating and ignorant. I was sleeved 8/8/22 and am down 86lbs. Yeah, salad and raw greens kill my tummy and potatoes just don't fit and sit on top uncomfortably. My hair is falling out at an alarming rate but I know it's temporary. Since surgury, I have gained mobility, emotional balance, i can shop in ANY store for clothes and shoes, and have had so many new experiences that I never would have 5 months ago. If you are thinking about it, DO IT! I had minor surgury complications but I would do it all over again knowing how amazing I feel today.

1) I sound fear. Food is her only friend.... ONLY FRIEND... It's reliable. Food never lets her down. Food hasn't lied to her or hurt her. She has done those things to herself, but the food was there when she needed it. The idea that she must change her relationship with food terrifies her. Her seeing someone today shows growth. Maybe she had a health scare; maybe she went through an intervention. Who knows? Today she is in a better place; yesterday, she was more of a hot mess. If she is not serious about weight loss surgery, she will disqualify herself in the long process of getting to the table; or fail painfully when she gets off the table. You are right to be angry. However, Amber ain't thinking about you. Don't waste another minute staying frustrated about Amber. She is going to be alright. You continue to educate us from a genuine and authentic place. You have taught me so much, and I appreciate it. Ignore Amber.
I chose weight loss surgery over plaque psoriasis. I'd rather lose this weight that's killing me and preventing me from enjoying my life, than have clear skin. I am a peeling, flaky, mess, but I'm losing weight. I'm feeling better. I might be able to let go of some of these expensive medications with side effects that are debilitating to me. That woman infuriates me.
That is one of the main reasons so many of us have gotten WLS bc we are eating our past and possibly present traumas that directed to food as a crutch. So yes, that is why when you prepare for surgery, you have to go through therapy and it takes 6 months to a year for some programs. The truth of the matter is that she is a trainwreck that people like to watch. I know that some people watch her videos because they truly hope that she will eventually lose weight and get healthy. Her crazy antics have helped her make a living so she is not going to want to lose weight because most people are going to stop being interested in her videos.
Having vsg in 10 days and I lost weight myself because I was tired of not fitting my clothes then I moved to a town solo. I had all the time in the world a I did wonderfully ~65lbs. Got fired on made up charges, was depressed, reverted back to old ways after the panorama and boom I’m 6 pounds heavier than before. This time I’ve decided vsg is for me. We all have to try and fall down and some more than others before we get tired. Her tired isn’t anyone else’s tired. She was trying to convince herself and all those around her that she was ok yet she clearly had no idea what eating balanced is. Shit neither did we until someone taught us when we reached out for help. I get being upset because it’s constant with the anti-medical interventions but skin folk shouldn’t worry about others ya know?!
I really enjoy ☺️ all of your videos, but may give my opinion on certain points. I also had weight loss surgery a year ago and have lost over 130 pounds. I can say before my surgery I used to waiver in that decision so I can understand the young lady having her thought process seven years ago but I can applaud her for choosing to have the surgery now. Some people are uneducated about the process and fear can cause them to say things that are not necessarily true although she has a platform I do believe people need to do their own research and not be a follower against weight loss surgery. I believe the best thing for her would be to have a relationship with a psychologist to help her with her food addiction because even if she have surgery she can still hurt herself if she does not have that revelation with that because she could have surgery and gain all of it back if she still have that same mental mindset with food. I believe she totally needs some help to fully understand the whole process in as a whole. I do appreciate you bringing this conversation to light because it needs to be had And I would encourage anyone to definitely do their research to find out what is best for them, surgery as the first option may not be the best option if they have not had a mental evaluation to determine if they are completely ready for this life-changing experience. Unfortunately she was at that time reiterating prejudices and misconceptions about weight loss surgery…there are still “fitness” channels that still subscribe to that sort of misinformation

@@kelsi_danielle Your screen is your viewfinder on your phone. So you're likely looking on your reflection which is totally normal! I do it too and had to train myself to look at the lens haha!! It's hard!
I don’t think she understands that wls is literally a tool she doesn’t get that she thinks if she gets it is a magic trick and it will make the weight just fall off she don’t get that even if she’s gets wls you can still gain weight back stretch your stomach back out . I’m getting wls surgery and for me they have me going through all of these appointments and classes it’s not easy this really hard I just don’t want her to make this decision and then Come back and regret it . I’m a part of a bariatric group on Facebook and so many people say they regret it because they struggle with binge eating and can’t do it anymore she’s going to have to look where to put that addiction somewhere else . If that makes sense
She just sounds so miserable!! And has no idea what she is talking about..sad cause she could of done the surgery a long time ago and enjoying her best life!!
The easy way out would be weight loss surgery but I don't think weight loss surgery is 100% easy but compared to loosing weight on your own is harder vs weight loss surgery
