The starting quarterback, running back and wide receiver talk about their huge performances for their 3rd-ranked Wolverines' monstrous 45-23 win over No. 2 Ohio State.
My Dad went to Michigan in '29. 4 of us sons were in college at the same time, so we couldn't afford to go to Michigan.. My kid brother, much younger, did however, get to go and graduate from Michigan and become a doctor. What makes this more than a happy story is that we all live in Ohio. I'm 89, and since I was 8 , I was the maize and blue kid, getting bullied by all the Buckeyes. So today , I put on my Michigan sweats and cap, and with help of my walker I strolled up and down outside tooting an old bicycle horn. Hail to the Victors. My dad had to be looking down and smiling ear to ear, seeing the "Shoe" all red and so silent.
How humble and respectful these boys are is a true showcase of class! This is how you get a big win and stay humble on your way to the ship. “It’s great to be a Michigan Wolverine”
@@maxkelly3202 that's to be expected in a rivalry like this. When I was at The Game in 2019 in Ann Arbor the entire O$U organization from the cheerleaders, to the mascot and players started the O-H-I-O chant using giant poster boards with each letter in different corners and different sides of Michigan Stadium as if it was there own house and they owned it and this was in the early fourth quarter during the commercial break on multiple occasions. The O$U fans were hostile and rude and shouting all sorts of obscenities and throwing food and drinks at the Michigan fans leaving the game early. That was a classless series of events from the fan base to the organization. Planting a flag in the endzone is child's play compared to things like that and the O$U faithful got exactly what they deserved, payback. This was literally the game of the century so it's to be expected and it was still minimal compared to shit Michigan has had to endure and deal with.
Donovan is such an amazing player and teammate! And humble too! You can tell this team is a family and coach Harbaugh has poured his heart and soul into these men! GO BLUE!!! Beat Purdue! 〽️❤️
TY Harbaugh for evaluating your process and fixing this program. Ty JJ and Donovan you said you came to change the rivalry and you're off to a hell of a start
@@maxkelly3202 He’s a humble kid who plays for the team and he’s obviously a little shy in the spotlight. Regardless he is a great leader in the sense that he plays selflessly for the guys around him.
@@maxkelly3202 Does any player, really? There's two ways players answer post game questions: With pride and with humility. Just because he chose the latter doesn't mean he isn't answering the questions.
@@herchelleonwood7463 not even a little bit. Yes religion shouldn't be on RU-vid or social media. But too say the world would be better without religion. That's a but far fetched
@@herchelleonwood7463 not saying I can confirm his prayer was real because I wasn't there and am not God... But he didn't say what you seem to think he did. He didn't say that his prayer won him the game. He said he talks to God through prayer and he felt like God said it's their game this time. Seeking His will. It's just football but maybe we're learning how to seek God through the things we think are important in our lives as we grow in them
I’ve been saying it all season CJ is our best receiver, and we’re stacked. JJ just balled out and Donovan was a beast. That offensive line grinded the Buckeyes down into fine dust. Phenomenal victory, total domination
I'm so happy for Cornelius Johnson, he's one of the best route runners I've seen at Michigan and I'm glad he got his day. I hope he has a wonderful NFL career.
I am impressed and appreciative of Donovan Edwards bringing back talk of the Lord into the forefront. This is a bigger part of rebuilding the foundation of society than anything else. Not being afraid to speak about it like he has been is overdue.
These players show class and great character on and off the field and the unsportsman conduct penaties the last two years against ohio show the difference in the mindset of these two teams.
I've been saying all year the thing we lack on offense is a big playmaker that can take the top off.. Then Johnson just goes off! The Don is an absolute beast... stepped up and balled out with one hand. GO BLUE!!!
I remember the same when I grew up there in the 90's...first day back to school hearing all the kids and teachers whine and literally cry after losing. Great time! That city lives and dies by that school
I'm from the Northside an I can tell you one high school that loved Michigan was Coulmbus Brookhaven. The hate we use to get you would swear that school was from Michigan. Go Blue!!!
@@christopherthigpen5295 I went to Brookhaven best school ever I don't like Michigan but that's the only reason I like them a Lil because they were my school colors
@@KeyanuOhioChick think I'm a little older then you but you ain't lying about Brookhaven. Think you went there wit my little an an cousin doe. I left in 09
You can just see it in their demeanor. Michigan players are well coached, humble, and their talent increases during their time as Wolverines. OSU players are highly-sought-after, expecting their college football experience to be an NFL warm-up, entitled, soft and they play with no heart.
I'm so glad to see Michigan football is back to their winning ways. The last time Michigan beat OSU back 2 back I was in middle school. I turned 37 last month.
JJ is humble, and mature beyond his years, I remember after one play in the 1st half a freshman was about to .out off st osu, and JJ pushed hi. Away FAST to not get a taunting flag, great work on his part
Always liked Harbaugh way back to his days as a quarterback, especially on the colts and have a soft spot for Michigan. It’s good to see Michigan thump Ohio state for a change. I’m rooting for Michigan to win the National Championship. This McCarthy kid is a winner .
It’s validation. Last year there were all sorts of excuses. Weather was an equalizer, they had the flu, etc. This year, they went into their house, with great weather, no major illnesses and stomped them.
These guys seem to sincerely know that they have to get better ... that there are aspects of their game that need to be improved. That's a great mindset to have. Go Blue!
Thank you guys for shutting up Ohio State fans. All I heard all year was how last year was a fluke. How we aren't winning in Columbus. And Stroud this and Stroud that. Well guess what? Michigan went in there and smacked them around. Silence the haters. Sick of the OSU talking like they are unbeatable and that the rivalry was always going to be in their favor. Reality is, rivalries have momentum swings and that momentum doesn't stay in your favor long. And love how J.J was like " doesn't matter, the job isn't done. " Edwards said we want a ring. Go get that ring. Go Blue
JJ is a great example of team first qb. I mean he had a great day and still kept attention on Donovan and I believe 6 is Andrell. Even going back too last season in conference championship. He had a huge block for Blake too get into end zone
@@DonovanEdwardsEnjoyer that's what I thought. I honestly think JJ starting and playing whole game is what we were missing last year. Especially in CFP. I don't know if it would change outcome because Georgia was stacked defensively. But this year is our year
💪🏻💪🏻 Big Blue flexing muscle in crunch time clutch plays over and over again ain't about how u start OSU u gotta finish strong Michigan been peaking when it matters
The defense kept them in it early and they closed it out at the end.. They havent gotten the respect they deserved all season. I think its mostly because they are such a team unit. There is no glaring star out there, like last year. But they were all stars today!
I love DE giving credit to Lord for when you truly have that relationship with him you can hear him in your thoughts its crazy but true. For you must be Born of Spirit to enter into his kingdom best believe that Go Blue.
i watched clarkston somehow stop donovan in the epic 3-2 victory in the state finals a few years ago,, still don't know how clarkston and coach richardson pulled that off.
Michigan baited Ohio Stat because Ohio State figured Michigan couldn't throw the ball so they stacked the line of scrimmage Jim harbaugh is a smart coach than Ryan Day
