Hi, great video 👍 Can you please tell me, what/if there is an early symptom of this pipe being clogged up? Thank you.
@AjusaAutomotive
@AjusaAutomotive 3 года назад
Hi! It is difficult to notice a clogged pipe. The oil pressure light could be seen to turn on instantly. We recommend checking the oil tube and changing it in case you notice any burned oil inside. Sincerely 🖥️ facebook.com/AjusaSpain 📸 instagram.com/ajusa_automotive/

Hi, can we start engine after normaly?? There is no risk for turbo, because there is no oil in the new pipe??
@AjusaAutomotive
@AjusaAutomotive 2 года назад
Hi! For this reason, we include a small amount of oil in the syringe and apply it to the oil inlet port during assembly. This oil lubricates the core of the turbocharger in the first moments of ignition of the engine. Kind regards 📸 instagram.com/ajusa_automotive/ 🖥 facebook.com/AjusaSpain

Why put clean oil on the air inlet 1:34 ? And why clean oil in the top bolt hole 1:30 ? I know there is no oil when engine is started but the whole pipe is empty so what difference does it make putting a small amount in the bolt hole? Do you advocate removing the filter from bottom bolt..? 2:22 I didn't see the filter tip on the bolt.
@AjusaAutomotive
@AjusaAutomotive 5 лет назад
Hi! As you indicate, the oil system is drained after a repair like this and then we put a little amount of oil in the oil feef bolt hole in order to lubricate the shaft of turbocharger in the first moments after starting the engine. We do not put oil in the air inlet, we rotate the impeller to help the oil flow through the shaft bearing. Some manufacturers of turbochargers indicate that it is necessary to remove the filter from the bottom bolt . Therefore we removed it.

that pipe will fail again as there was no effort to properly align the pipe fittings so that the pipe is not resting on the fitting.

@@AjusaAutomotive I did get the torque settings from this video 👍. I don't remember where I found it when I had to do it myself. But there is a simple solution. At the engine side you put a round stock (7 or 7.5 mm don't remember exactly sorry) like the back end of a drill on the right side of the fitting which will lean against parts on the engine that stops the fitting from going too far. The same on the turbo but it's a 8 or 8.5mm. If someone has the engine manual please share the diameters. If you cannot find this info at least make sure that the pipe goes straight in to the fitting meaning that the tightening of the bolt does not force the fitting to lean on the pipe otherwise the seal might leak prematurely. Great video otherwise.

@@musalk4525 can you help me, I'm going to change the pipe but I didn't quite understand how it's supposed to be done, thank you
@musalk4525
@musalk4525 Год назад
@@rubenalmeida1822 you need to remove the cooler fan through the bottom, remove the DPF, and air intake (to turbo). Then you can access the pipe and get it out. Remember to clean the filter inside the banjo bolt, use new copper washers and remember to pre fill the turbo and feed pipe. Use the torque settings from this video. When tightening the banjo bolts you should make sure that the fitting is straight and dose not lean on the pipe. There is a trick where you put a round object like the back end of a drill, piece against the turbo and the fitting on the pipe i believe it's a 8.5mm or 9mm at the turbo, i saw it in another RU-vid video. But the essence is that the fitting is not leaning on the pipe meaning that the pipe can move a little and is sitting in the center of the fitting. It's not that difficult 💪 Beside getting the cooler fan out 🙄
