OJ Simpson got away with murder, because the black community that was on the jury, let him off. It was basically in retaliation, for all the police issues in Los Angeles. LA had a string of arrests in the black community, that basically kicked off the LA Riots. So the city was pretty much at a boiling point. OJ was pretty much let go, because it was revenge. There has been actual jurors who’ve said in recent years, that they knew OJ did it, but wanted to get back at the police. The same goes for those in the black community, who have been interviewed years later. But the police are also to blame, because they handled the case horribly. They didnt secure the crime scene properly. They contaminated the evidence. Basically they had a slam dunk case. We know OJ 100% did it. But because they did such a horrible job securing the evidence and keeping things focused, they pretty much left themselves open to ruining the whole thing. Like even if the “racial” issues were not present, they always risked losing the case due to the atrocious way they handled everything. They were incompetent. Actually reminds me a lot of the Ramsay case in the 90s, where so much of the evidence was lost, due to them not securing the crime scene. Due to them allowing the father to go back into the house and go through all the rooms as well as other people (again contaminating the evidence). Just horrible police work. As far as the infamous glove moment, not only was OJ wearing plastic gloves to not contaminate the evidence and holding his thumb back, but the glove was actually soaked in blood that dried over time (of course). Scientists have said that due to the glove being leather, and the way it was stored, the blood soaked glove would have shrunk. So the whole idea that if it doesn’t fit him in that moment, he must be innocent, is absolutely insane. The whole thing was a ruse. Doesn’t even get into the fact that it’s illogical, as a killer could have wore a glove that was too small while killing. But again, the Police (or I guess in the case of the court, the DA) completely dropped the ball. The thing that is concerning, is all the people that seem to forgive OJ. This is an evil man. I wish people would actually look at the crime scene photos, and see what he actually did. He pretty much decapitated his ex wife. He didnt just murder them, he flew into a rage and cut so deep into her neck, that her head almost came off. He stabbed the bodies gruesomely beyond repair. This man shouldnt even be free right now. Let alone, he shouldnt be on social media getting attention. We as a society are sick, for treating this man as someone worth listening to. He’s a horrible piece of shit. While I understand the racial issues in LA, he shouldnt have been let free because of the actions of others. OJ trial should not have been held in Los Angeles. It should have been moved to another city, with a jury that was not biased about local police/ race issues. And lastly, this was the first “reality tv” trial, where the media covered the whole thing as a television show. This just further amped the attention it was getting, and fueled those that wanted to retaliate against the police. I again cant stress enough, I am not saying the police were great, or worthy of respect. LA had a lot of corruption and issues. And as i said, the police absolutely were incompetent and butchered this case from top to bottom. But at the end of the day, OJ was guilty. Not just of a pretty crime, but of absolute carnage. I don’t say this lightly, but there is “murder”...and the complete desecration of another person. This was a vicious, and heinous murder of two people. And in no way shape or form, should this man be walking around free.

The reason the glove didn’t fit is because it was a leather glove and it wasn’t found until a couple weeks into the investigation, therefore it had been rained on and went through the weather causing it to shrink.

A class I took covered the oj case. Here are some important things people may not know: 1. OJ Simpson's blood was not only found on the scene of the crime but on a sock that was left behind in his room before he fled the scene to go to the airport. When he fled the scene he took a duffle bag with him and refused to let anyone lay a hand on it. Mysteriously this bag disappeared after he entered the airport. It has never been found but highly suspected to have the rest of his bloody clothing he wore that night. 2. A friend was staying in his guest house the night of the murder and was talking to his wife on the phone and heard some noises coming from the fence near the quest house. His wife also heard the noises and when he left to investigate he saw the shadow of OJ walking back to the house. 3. The limo who went to pick him up said OJ was about 30 minutes late to answering the door and he claimed he was asleep but his friend from the point above proves otherwise. 4. His car when first investigated by police officers had blood all over it, inside and out. 5. The gloves on the scene weren't ordinary gloves but very expensive specially made huge gloves the Nicole bought him before they split. 6. OJ went to a hunting store to buy a knife a few days/weeks before the murders. The owner of the shop said that OJ wanted him to sharpen the already very sharp knife he was buying to make sure it would work well. This knife also fitted the exact description of the murder weapon. 7. Police investigators who recreated the scene (there are RU-vid videos of it) showed that the way the killed sliced/stabbed the victims, he must have cut his hand ( I can't remember which hand). When OJ was picked up by the limo driver he had a freshly cut and bandaged hand. 8. The gloves were "investigated" multiple times by OJ's lawyers. These gloves were stored in a freezer so they were taken in and out of the freezer causing them to thaw and freeze up again multiple times. This process done once won't do too much damage to the gloves but it being done as many time as it had been would eventually cause them to shrink. 9. The evidence was tampered with multiple times throughout the case mainly because OJ and his team were left with certain evidence without being watched or recorded by anyone. 10. Almost everyone on the jury were so fucking biased. They loved OJ. A lot of them were sports fans. They made their final verdict within an hour or so even though a case this big and this long should have take a few days, maybe even a few weeks, to conclude. There's so much more. The whole case is very interesting and I suggest everyone watch the Netflix adaptation of the trial. It doesn't give off all the little details but it does represent the whole matter really well.

My forensics teacher taught us the lawyers against o.j. failed horribly. Presenting everything out of order and not explaining anything. The file they jad on him was so large even without the dna evidence he should have been convicted but they thought every time they played 1 card he was done because the evidence was so undisputable. But they played it wrong. So they played another ace. Played it wrong. And so on. I took that as a lesson in "The right move at the wrong time is the wrong move"
