The beginning groove sounds a lot like Sepultura & thats always an incredible plus. I really love the indigenous tribal feel & quality of these local bands! When the solo comes in, I find it awesome that Geebzs referenced Metallica (Kirk Hammett) as a defining factor in the sound of the melodic intro and guitar solo, but I can also hear Alex Skolnick & his melody and guitar tone from Testament. Does anyone else feel me on this? 🎶🎉🎸

These guys are awesome and definitely need more recognition. They are from New Zealand and have been around for a while. The lead singer is a classical trained pianist and writes a lot of their songs (piano is also incorporated in some of their music). He also plays the log drum that I believe is called a Pate (I could be wrong, I've been wrong before 😁) which is incorporated in a lot of their songs. Definitely check out more of their work. Just pick a song, you can't go wrong 🤘😊🤘

This is a fantastic song that definitely has the same kind of sound and philosophy of Alien Weaponry. The chorus’s riff instantly made me think of In Flames actually - Jesper Stromblad spent the 90s perfecting that kind of melodic riff that’s still super heavy. Awesome In Flames songs to check out are: Artifacts of the Black Rain December Flower Jotun The Hive Colony Embody the Invisible There’s tons more but they’re songs in the style of the chorus here.

If you want heavy, check out Orbit culture. Insanely good band, super heavy. Normally id say to start with open eye or nensha, but for you I'd say check out the song behold. Starts super soft and builds up to a super heavy insane wall of sound.

This is why other songs I'd say they sounded primal and not tribal. This is tribal. Felt a little paint by numbers up till right before the solo, but that's my opinion.

A great song to dissect is 'Demon Hunter' - 'On My Side' you will LOVE the engineering and this is one of my favorites. Every bit of this track is amazing. 👌 BTW pain recognizes pain. Watch that shoulder.

I just listened to most of their self-titled debut release. I can't help but hear a very strong Avenged Sevenfold vibe in it. It's not bad, but it's not what I expected. I liked their sound in Le Manu better, but now I can't unhear the Avenged Sevenfold influence in that song, too. I'd guess they're still new enough that they're looking for their own sound. Le Manu feels like a more natural fit for them. If they evolve in that direction I'll probably keep listening to them.
