I believe they mentioned Titus' punishment when they revealed the game last year. He was forced to join the Black Templar's and go on Crusade to serve penance. So You can safely add him to your army!

I think the End Times was one of the biggest miscalculations in GW history. If GW wanted to rake in the big bucks they would just combine Old World and AoS and accept some timeline tomfoolery. I get that in the old days people just weren't buying old world minis but they also gave the setting very little love. The Total War games and Vermintide completely revitalized interest in the old world.

A new bolt gun game is the direct sequel to space marine one if you wanted the lore in-between the two games

I agree 100% with your point about the Imperium. I feel lately in the lore the imperium has taken on a very positive vibe but I for one love the idea that they're actually all just evil zealots. I think you're right that in theory the imperium should unite with the eldar and Tau but then we wouldnt have a setting anymore lol

From what we know, Titus was put into service with the Black Templars for about 200 years. He's back, with a chain around his arm.

The Old World has become Dead on Arrival for our playgroup with that announcement. We had Skaven, Vampire Counts and Ogre players, none of whom are happy to rebase so they can be a legacy pdf faction.

The figures that I always wished I had more of are the Orcs on boars. What's in the picture for Orc and Goblin Tribes? That. Exactly what I want. The big question will be how much do they cost? Savage Orcs on boars are £37.50 for 10, but the much more recent Snarlfang Riders are £37.50 for 5

If they release rules for Lizardmen in Old World, I'm pulling out my old Warhammer Fantasy Lizardmen from the 90s. The old old Saurus and Slann have so much nostalgia to me. Can't wait to use them again. They're going to have green base rims.

Might be worth checking table top simulator to see if all the old board games are on there.

To fix Titus' forward momentum I would make the stand he stands on taller and lean him more forward so it looks like he is leading down into the fray rather than hopping over an obstacle.

I was 10 when 8th dropped. I went into my local hobby store on my birthday to get the books to start play dungeons and dragons. They didn’t have any but I was still mesmerized by everything in the store. After discovering the GW section I somehow convinced my mother to get me the island of blood box set. I was just in awe of the art and the lore. I never got to play with my high elf boys because I never had any of my friends get into the hobby. I never built the skaven either because I just didn’t have much interest as a kid and never got around to it, I traded them a couple of years later for a friend building a skaven army for his half of the high elves. I am so beyond excited to finally get to bring these bad boys to life on the battlefield. In high school my friends got me into 40k and that’s been my jam all these years but to finally get to field my high elves that started it all is going to be a fever dream I can’t wait for.

i think if you put the new titus mini on some sort of high ground like a the roof of a small building, and you put a big model in front of it you could get a cool small diorama with not much effort

I'm looking forward to getting some new Old World Empire and Cities of Sigmar minis for use in kitbashing 40k Grim-Dark miniatures.

From the recent teasers for SM2 you do get to use the heavy bolter. I bet there'll be a flamer in there too.

Jay's point about how a race of lizard people wouldn't call themselves lizard MEN- they'd have their own name for what they are, is such a funny observation.

I think the reason they wouldn't call the lizard men seraphon is because malekith, one of the dark elf leaders, rides a dragon called seraphon

God if they're using any figure to make poses for marines it better be the joytoy or bandai marines.

The deathwatch vet kit might be a better choice than the upgrade sprue (if you just want the pads, you can get them FAR FAR cheaper with 3rd party ones). The full vet kid gives you lots of mk8 armour and a ton of weapons, along with the sculpted chapter pads if you happen to play one of those, and 5 deathwatch pads, which is probably still to many for most armies anyway, let alone the 13 you get with the upgrade spruee

Was about to mention the eath watch shoulder pad thing! If I remember right they get the right to replace their right shoulder pad with the Death Watch one. Thinking of doing that for blade guard in my Black Templars and Blood Angels armies

I love the aesthetic of ToW, AoS really doesn't do it for me and the removal of rank and flank mechanics makes the game look considerably less interesting on the tabletop. I encourage you to give Fantasy a go.

Titus is a big heavy guy and he almost looks like the Lt. in Phobos armor. Just take the head off and using him on something with a bulkier pose. He has weight behind him.

warcry is amazing, love it i was lost after killteam 2 launched as it's just not a direction i enjoy and since my local place finaly started playing it, i finally got to play it and it's just such an amazing game ^^

I'm gonna go out on a limb ans say that the only reason why Titus returned to fighting is because of some sort of intervention by Guilliman. Like he's returned and does all the primaris stuff and finds out about this disgraced captain in inquisition jail and is like "let him cook". I don't necessarily want this to be the case but I think it's what they'll go for, because it would be really weird for a new videogame about some ultramarines to not bring up Guilliman in some way.

Any recommended terrain for starters?

I can honestly say I’ve been waiting a very long time for a Captain Titus model, but I agree that his pose is very odd.

This is a big part of the problem with GW's handling of TOW - we still really don't know a lot of the most fundamental details about it. For example, look at the kit situation for a faction like the Vampire Counts. Ask yourself if any of their kits being put back into production? If they are, will all of them be returning or only a select few? And if a given kit is not returning, will they be using their AoS Soulblight Gravelord counterpart instead? The answer to all of these questions is that we simply don't know. The more you actually think about it, the less apparently clear basic information like whether or not the "legacy" factions, aka the out-of-focus factions, will have their models returning at all. I mean, look at the Chaos Dwarfs as the prime example. They're supposedly getting a full ruleset, but they won't have any models. Although unpleasant to consider, it is a possibility that the other non-focus factions will be treated in a similar manner - regardless of whether or not some of their kits are still in production or have more modern counterparts.

Speed Freels was such a good game. For the fact it was simple. Wish it had more scenarios.

I don't know about their other boar games, but I played Imperial Knights: Renegade a few years ago and it has a fantastic ruleset. It felt like a streamlined Battletech.

I have 2 different space marine adventures board games as well as the kill team fire team game. Never played them. Would love to see a video about which one of them was any good. Also possibly inspired to just play them and find out myself lol

Deathwatch Overkill is a great board game, in terms of "Marines vs. alien horde" I prefer it to Space Hulk (sacrilege I know) due to how powerful the Marines feel, the sneaky tactics the GSC can pull off, and the much faster set-up time. Gangs of Commoragh, Gorechosen, and Speed Freeks were all great, fun little games as well.

As someone who plays and collects Seraphon - Yes, it will be quite odd with the newer scuplts, especially if you compare the progression of a Saurus Warrior from Old world to AoS 1.0-2.0 to the newest version. The size, stature and feel is very different between them all.

I would like for Guilliman to save the Imperium, make it the good kind of authoritarian regime 😅, ally with the Eldar and T‘au to fight overwhelming forces of Chaos, Tyranids and Orks in a neverending struggle. Just to have something that is worth to fight for.

as someone who started the hobby with warhammer fantasy and i still consider it my main game - yeah, nervous for old world at least, worried more accurate, after end times etc. with trust issues kind of expecting a disaster - my brother and friends with whom i play the game have made so many homebrew rules to correct the core game, were basically not really playing warhammer fantasy anyway, so im interested in new rules, maybe hopefully a bit more modern and quicker, but i think the split between aos and old world ist just chaotic and very arbitrary and i usually like my games clean and confined.. oh well

A good boardgame : Gorechosen. Very fun fast paced board for 4 players game by GW.

I know for a fact that blackstone fortress is a great GW boardgame worth playing!

was digging around, one model series i hope they return with is the medic and wounded soldier for imperial guard. Simple models like that added into a horde army or for stand in's for hero scenerios. hot tip: dont start imperial guard and ork armies together.......the piles of plastic are insane.

Titus has to do a little dance before he shoots each tyranid thats his only weakness and the reason for the pose.

Based on my experience with the WHFB grognards Old World has little to no chance of winning them over. They are happy playing the old game/Warhammer Armies Project, they 3D print and proxy any new models they want to add to their existing armies and, most importantly, they are still angry at GW for killing the old world in the first place! haha Personally, I really enjoy Kings of War but now that OPR AoFR offers the most simplified rank and flank experience I am hoping that competition from Old World will light a fire under Mantic's ass to add just a little more crunch to the next edition of the game with more units, more unique and special rules for each of the factions and a whole line refresh for their older models.

Old World will take off because of the Total War:Warhammer games. It brought a ton of people into the world only to find out the game was dead. Can't wait for new Bretonnians.

Seems obvious lately that GW is associating a characters model height with its importance. Keep putting named pep on single rocks to boost them up a bit.

i own scraps of the original warhammer epic titans models, and datasheets. i have no idea what to do with them as i have not hobbied in over 20 years.
