The Tesla would win in a 8th mile because it has all it's torque of the line. Anything beyond that and a well tuned V8 will win. Well as long as the driver knows how to shift that is.

Yea, like 500+ cubic inch modern big blocks with heads that pass poolballs lol... When I first saw a dyno sheet back in the day for a big motor that made 1300 on muscle and then had over 1000 more on bottle I was dumbfounded.

Robert Elmo youd be surprised what a simple small block such as a 327 or big block 396/427 could do, sometimes the meaning "no replacement for displacement isn't always true!!

I'm not one for racing, I just like a little power to do a burn out from time to time or something, thats why I'm gonna rebuild my 64 Impala's 327 this summer to get it to 425 hp, btw it's my only car/daily driver

yomonstruo It's a small block 427 on spray, makes about 1,000 at the crank. Guy is a friend of mine, he's had the same setup in that car for about a decade. just made it faster and faster a little at a time over the years.

Kyle you are not that good of a friend if you think that car has nitrous on it. I wired the car and plumbed the brakes. It made 850 naturally aspirated and has never even had a nitrous bottle mounted in the car.

That was not an LS engine in the nova. It was an old school 23 degree headed motor that made over 850 N/A in a 3300lb street legal car with full exhaust

Little googling around later It seems like they both weighed in at a little over 3400 pounds stock. C7 could run all the way up to 3500.

Just think if he went 55. that plastic crap car would been in worse shape .lucky my neice and sister was safe. but the reason why people love old school cars, and trucks is also because there American made. And have a thick steel frame and steel body in most modles. if your new corvett computer goes out your screwed. hell they were able to get a carburetor vehicle to achieve 50+ mpg I believe mid 80s but oil companies seen it as a threat and bought the patent.
