(OLD) The Death of Sonic93 

PLEASE READ ME: Hey, guys. So, due to recent events, this video has been re-gaining quite a bit of traction. In fact, looking at the analytics, this video has jumped up by nearly 16k views in the past three weeks by the writing of this comment. However, with that, some of the people viewing this video for the first time are either new, confused, misinformed, or all of the above. Furthermore, there has also been a lot of information regarding this video that has and will continue to come out going forwards and it hasn't exactly been easy to follow. For those people just joining in now and/or don't have a clue about what happened, this comment is for you. Here are some common questions I've noticed being tossed around and I wanna give you guys some info on it: 1. "Sonic93 made a video on Alduin and that has a bunch of dislikes! Does this video have anything to do with that?" This is gonna be a "no shit" kind of answer, but yes and no. By "no," I mean that this video was made about ten months, give or take, before Sonic93 released her video on Alduin, so obviously this video doesn't cover it and couldn't be influenced by it because, well, it didn't happen. However, one of the reasons Sonic93's decision to cover Alduin's video, as well as mine (she mentioned she was working on a video on me in said video), was because we both made videos on her and she felt the need to defend herself regardless of feedback, so it's a yes in that case. 2. "After your video came out and before Sonic93 made her video on you, weren't you two friends for a while or something? What happened with that?" I plan on going into this part specifically at a later date, so I kinda have to keep things vague and brief, but I will give a brief rundown of what happened. After I made my video on her, Sonic93 made a now-deleted apology video on the situation. I reacted to it in a livestream and after that, we contacted each other on Discord, put aside the drama, and became friends. Ten months later, Sonic93 made her Alduin video and announced that she's making a video on me. I contacted her on Discord and the discussion quickly went sour. I then announced on Discord and RU-vid (via community posts) that Sonic93 and I had cut ties. If you want to see the original announcement, here it is: ru-vid.comUgyOtA9bufcodR4YGmt4AaABCQ 3. "Why is Sonic93 making a video on you now?" Yes. 4. "Will you take down the videos between you and Sonic93?" Very good question. I'm leaning towards "no." While deleting videos isn't an uncommon occurrence for me, I've never been one to remove videos without at least archiving them first. Furthermore, the videos where I talked about and collaborated with Sonic93 are still important parts of my channel and important information for those researching this drama. So, if they are removed, I'll at least make sure that they're archived. 5. "Are you making a new video on Sonic93?" Yes, but I can't give any information out about it at this point. Those are all the questions I've heard being tossed around in the comments and on my Discord and Instagram, but I'm sure there's more. I'm very open to any and all questions. As a fan of sonic93, I'm honestly disappointed in her for harassing someone just because they stated their opinion on Silver...and I HATE how she says "If you mess with him(Silver), you mess with me!" Hell, I'm a Pit fangirl and a Rex Salazar fangirl, but I don't act like they're real or get offended if someone points out a flaw. Hell, I can list multiple flaws both characters have that people might say they might not like but I love the characters for who they are and how they act as they've helped with my depression over the last year(s): Pit is too positive, he can't act on his own without Palutena, he's too loyal to Palutena, his voice may be annoying to certain people, he's too naive or he believes everything Palutena says, etc Rex is too arrogant, he's flamboyant and egotistical, he can't take anything seriously, etc Hell, I agree with some of these fan's points! I do like SIlver's voice but his story in Sonic '06 IS shit(although Sonic '06 in general is shit) along with his gameplay. Hell, I love those two characters for those reasons! Every time I play Kid Icarus: Uprising, seeing Pit being happy and being his go-lucky self, it makes me smile and "feel all warm and fuzzy inside", and when I watch Generator Rex and see Rex acting all flamboyant and cocky and full of himself, it makes me laugh and smile due to how funny it is and how he makes bad puns. It makes me wanna act the way he does, where he accepts himself for who and what he is! It makes me wanna accept myself for who I am and what I'm here for, and he's my childhood hero and crush since I was like fucking 10 years old and I'm 18 now. I still love Rex to this day, and it helps me feel better about myself instead of being a gloomy depressed loser. Sorry to say sonic93, I love ya, girl...but this is DISAPPOINTING. Clean up your act and just take your fangirling down a few notches, I mean being a fangirl is fine(like I said before), but when you harass someone online like that just cuz of an opinion, than we haven an issue.

Man, I remember watching Sonic93 when I was in middle school.

This was my first introduction to the channel back when I was but a wee lad... and by that I mean a couple of weeks after this was uploaded. I was really bored and for some reason after watching one video from a critique channel, youtube bombarded me with these kinda videos. Now I feel like everything has come full circle because not only did I get reintroduced to this channel a couple of weeks ago from my recommended page, BUT it was also when I was playing a game I fell in love with about 3 months ago Sunset Overdrive which at first looked familiar to me because when first watching this video, I wasn't focusing too much on the topic of this video itself but I recall being fascinated by this 3rd person shooter where you grind on rails. Then obviously years later, I happened to stumble across Sunset Overdrive and I was like "Oh shit! this is that game!" and I absolutely fucking adore it. And then we come to now. While I'm sure plenty of people could care less about this one comment made by a guy on the internet, I just thought it would be funny to share small little things in my life and how they connect. Its a small world lmao

This is actually quite a great video, a dynamically different approach to your usual style of videos. I dig this video and understand why it might pain you to kinda confront this user. Honestly, I don't think shipping a character with yourself or your OC is "unhealthy romantic obsession". It's the same amount of obsession as fantasizing about a fictional character, like many often do, but artists often like to make these things tangible because they can and they find it fun. I did this exact thing when I was younger and I wouldn't say my little fictional crushes are unhealthy obsessions. I still lived my own life apart from this. I just draw what I like and at the time, what I liked were my boys. If I had any motivation to draw I might still be doing that, as a fully functional adult in the middle of college. Sonic93 obviously was obsessive and delusional but the way you framed it implies that making a canon x oc pairing is an early sign of turning into someone like her.

I consider myself to be a Shadow fangirl. He is my favorite character in the Sonic franchise overall, but I'm not the hugest fan of how he's portrayed in the Sonic Boom cartoon. (Though his debut episode is my current favorite one of the series and he is my second favorite character in the show. Knuckles is my fav, btw XD) While I do LOVE his deadpan style of humor and his fight scenes, as well as the interactions he has with Dr. Eggman. he does have some problems. Like how his supposed hatred for Sonic and his crew is really not explained...AT ALL in the show. And he's literally given zero screen time (time that could have been used to flesh out his backstory and his motivations for doing what he does, btw) after his debut episode until the season 2 finale. Speaking of that episode, his character is shown to be unbelievably petty because he literally tries to destroy the universe...because he was lied to about Sonic shit talking him behind his back. Yeah, he eventually helps save the world with Sonic near the end of the episode, but my point still stands. There is a bit more I could say, but I think I said enough. By Sonic93's logic, I'm lying about being a Shadow fangirl for DARING to criticize the character I like a lot. XD
