Finally come of age, and with the distractions of headlight styling and IMS issues put into perspective this 911, so completely worthy of the name, has joined it's brethren as an appreciating classic. Yes I bought one, a 996.2, C2 manual, in mint condition, with only 64,000kms on the odo. Brilliant car and great investment.
I bought a ‘99 3.4 last summer. So glad I did! I would be just as happy with a Cayman S, but that would’ve cost $7500 more. What I paid for my 911 ... peanuts for what I got.
LJTProductions I also do now😊 It's It was a no brainer for less than £9000. I'm looking to double that number within 10 years so a sound investment and lots of fun whilst doing it.
I probably should have brought one, but I opted for the Cayman S 987 instead as I much prefer the looks. The 996 is probably the better "investment", but God I love my Cayman.
Good luck hey. If you can stretch the budget, the obvious choice is the 997, and a good friend of mine has one of those. But again, while that's the better "investment" I have to say, I prefer my selfish 2 seater cayman. To me it looks better but that is subjective.
