Beside the time it took to watch your video, I was able to complete installing the new unit and replace the dash piece in less than 5 minutes! Thanks again for keeping it simple and informative!

I doubt it. When a switch fails, it normally fails in the open position, so current will not flow through it. I would check any aftermarket items you may have like a stereo to ensure they are closed off and push the button to shut the dome lights off and ensure all of the doors are closed. Did you check the battery with a multi meter to ensure the voltage runs from 12.7 to about 13.9v when the car is running, to ensure your alternator is good? Good luck.
