The Santos hedge is a sign there’s a stronger possibility of Gallagher extending. With James, Gusto and Acheampong. Lima was probably a flip, maybe better to use the £10m for now. This summer’s budget seems to have been built on the sand of flipping Broja, 30, Gallagher, 50, Chalobah, 25, Maatsen, 35, Omari 30. A £170m warchest rounded up with Hall and some loan fees to £200m. 3 of the 5 are currently at the Euros despite their age. With that kind of calibre of player to flip, maybe best to see some evidence of their flipping ability before investing in longer shots?
Agree on all fronts. I'm thinking now that a major investment in a striker is unlikely, the PPA appeal of Gallagher for another year may tempt the owners to overpay him a bit. He's like a "get out of (FFP) jail free card," for the owners while the team structure gets set up. Don't want to play that card unless you need to.
I really like ur analysis a lot n I agreed with u for CFC to keep Noni Madueke whether they were able to sign Olise or not we still need Madueke in the squad because the matches are going to be many n we always needs quality backups incase of injury or fatigue. I'm also of the view that Guirassy 's release clause is very affordable so whether John Duran's deal go through or not I still want our sporting directors to go ahead to. sign Guirassy to bring up some level of experience up front for Duran n Jackson to learn from him going forward.
I like your balanced approach. I couldn’t stand the other youtubers who were negative about this. We shouldn’t break our wage structure for any player. Reward bonuses must be a thing now.
You realize that we're looking at players from Athletico, Villa and Palace, all potential homes for Connor. I think it's about getting max value for him more than us loving these players.
Aside from being financially not ideal for the approached club to swap, it would be very uncommon for a player from the advancing club to want to go to that exact club, when I’m sure especially in Gallagher case there would be many other options on the table. Maatsen too. You would feel down trodden. The Aston Villa player gets an upgrade and the Chelsea player a downgrade in status. I simply can’t see all three parties aligning. Furthermore, as a trained negotiator, I would assume that both parties think they could purchase at a better price and sell higher. To swap there has to be a clear advantage when dealing with millions.
Poch risk ball vs. Peps ball makes an exciting watch(4_4). Guess what Enzo ball vs. Peps ball would be in the first game in August.......very very boring to watch.
I understand there is less than 1% chance that Chelsea get him, but they need to make their best offer early and tell both of them to either take it or leave it and then move on. Don’t want to waste too much time with a player that has always dreamed of playing for Manchester United.
Sterling can not and has never been able to control a football, pass or bring others into the game ! Just terminate his contract and get his wages off the wage bill ! He’s a waste of money and a liability !
Olise didn't even make it to a world class French Euro squad. You can cite injuries all you like as an excuse but I really don't rate him highly. Furthermore, I don't see any French journalists, pundits & fans all-round that are bemoaning his omission from the France team. My question is, what's the big deal about this kid, he's good but he's not a world beater. And, he doesn't even give me vibes of a player that can reach the heights of a Robben or Hazard...
Olise and fofana will break their leg when waking onto the pitch. Terrible buy. Sell Fofana, Disai and Badashellie and buy De ligit and/or Guehi, keep Chalobah. Keep Gallgher, sell Mudryk, sterling and bring in a world class striker and or Williams from Bilbao.
Nah it ain’t happening we had a 3 week head start on United because they weren’t decided on ten hag, before the window we apparently had terms agreed with him and the club yet we haven’t signed him, mate he’s going to united clownlake bottled it
I wouldn't be too mad about it tbh. We will have paez and William able to play for us from next year. I'd rather we stick with madueke for this season and then let paez take that rw spot
Many former players at the Euros: Kante, Rudiger, Havertz, Morata, Lukaku, Guehi, KDB, and Kovacic. It helps to have proven winners on the pitch and in the dugout to win trophies. Real Madrid and City are unlikely to follow Chelsea's example, ditching Ancelotti or Pep for some coach from the Spanish second division. Even from a marketing standpoint, having world-class players like Bellingham and Mbappe helps sell the club and shirts. Chelsea was an elite club with global stars, they are now slightly better than Brighton.
