@@marywhite5158 It was nice, but not so fluffy and airy. I only really eat wholemeal bread but I find this recipe works better with white flour. Personal taste I guess.
This bread is AMAZING. I have never baked before, but your instructions were so well written that the bread turned out better than the ones we have in professional bakeries.
THIS RECIPE IS PERFECT AS IS. I made bread for the first time using this exact recipe, except I had to use dry yeast instead of fresh, and I had no cornmeal so I just used the flour and placed the bread on parchment paper in a dutch oven so it wouldn't stick. My partner and I ate the whole loaf in one day (and it was a big loaf). This bread is divine!!!!! Thank you for sharing
I've made this bread well over 100 times and it's still the best recipe! Completely foolproof as long as the room is warm enough to rise in! I just made an alteration this week subbing 90 grams of each olive for 90 grams of cheddar and 90g of jalapenos from a jar and I'm in heaven!! The olive bread makes a great panzanella or croutons for soup too!
Really great recipe, easy to make for a novice . I love the slight heat with the chilies and olives add a slight salty kick. Will definitely make this again .
I made this today. It was fantastic. I don't keep bread flour on hand since I don't bake much bread. So I added 4 teaspoons of vital wheat gluten to the plain flour which was sifted before measuring. At first I was concerned about the amount flour as my dough did not look as moist as the video BUT it worked perfectly. Once the dough rises it looks almost like the video where it gets gently formed into a ball. I have a Sharp convection oven/microwave that will only get up to 450. I used 450 then 425 in the cast iron pan and it worked perfect. The video isn't very clear but I also heated my pan with lid in the oven 10 mins before transferring the dough into it. Turned out as good or better than bakery made. Yum. Now onto the cheese bread! 😉 thanks for this recipe! Been looking a long time for a good one. This is a keeper!
I bet I have made 20 loaves of this now, my friends love it and its my favorite bread! Here are a few tweaks to consider once you have mastered the basic recipe: Swap 100g of olive brine for 100g of water in the recipe. Use Kalamata, Black, and Spanish Onions, 70g each Create an initial poolish using half the total flour & water, let the dough it sit on the counter overnight, then finish the recipe the next day. Add the remaining water to the poolish, then add the olives and the spices and mix well, then add the remaining flour.
I’ve bought the ingredients to make this bread. I can’t believe that it only takes a couple of hours to make this. Usually when I read bread recipes, you have to leave it overnight. So I’m excited to try this cut down version to bread making !!!
This became one of my favourite breads! It's simple to make, quick and super delicious. We have been making it for a few years now but never get tired of it. Thank you!!
I have made this bread several times. We love it with soups, stews or just spreading cream cheese or plain butter on the bread while it is still warm. In my opinion this is the BEST Olive bread recipe. If you follow the instructions as shared your mouth will water just thinking about enjoying your first bite.
I have tried your recipe to make olives bread and i want just to say it s the best recipe I've ever made I made it five times each and everytime I eat it all thank you very much
O.M.G. ... SOLD!! I’m making this today!! I ‘kneaded’ a new recipe to try.. I made a few loaves of Coconut Orange Chai Bread the other day.. Your recipe is the perfect savory change.. Thankyou for sharing!! 👍😬😍

I am going to make it tomorrow . First day of cold weather here in Sydney, winter is finally here and this bread will go very well with a nice barley , pumpkin potato and silver beets soup . The rest will eat with some nice prosciutto . Love your dishes 😘
I'm very proud and happy of seing that the products of my land, that is Andalucía, are recognized by important sources of information, it is very important for our region to be known abroad. I'll definitely try this bread with my grandparents' olives, which are very special, as our olive oil. I recomend you to buy olive oil from Jaén, which is one of the most reputated in our country!
Can we dance around the kitchen while we make the bread?? :)) Makes my mouth water. And I LOVE how you start making the bread... by eating an olive first!! Thank you! Muchas gracias!!
Oh my god once again! All your recipes make me want to eat. Your channel is so so amazing! Congrats for your amazing channel. Greetings from Greece!! :)
if you dont have cast iron dutch oven, you can bake on a preheated baking stone at 400* for 45 minutes. Add a baking pan on the rack below and fill with 1/2 c water to create steam
Now I'm making this bread for the third time, ooohhh smells so good in the kitchen. Also putting some grilled paprika... Such a delicious bread. Can't thank you enough for sharing...:-).
As you done this recipe recently, did you use similar tin to put the dough in inside the oven or something different has to be with a lid 🤔? I really liked the recipe 🙈
Just baked this one and it turned out amazing. Delicioso!!! It's been dark and rainy where I live and I was craving a little taste of the sunny Mediterranean. Thanks for the great recipe:)
