As a person from Africa people find me strange that I hate being awake or outside during the day esp as it is Sunny mostly all through the year. I thrive at night. I work better at night whether professionally or in my house chores. I am simply plagued with lethargy during hot bright days and my curtains are very thick to block out most light glare

@@mercynamikoye9084 Same! Brazilian person here. I'm only one shade down from John and I utterly hate being awake in the morning. It's so cozy to sleep in the morning, and when it's past midnight is when my mood and productivity peak. Since I was a kid I was so obsessed with vampires because I related to them, and still do to this day. I'm honestly so tired of people telling me I should get a tan. It's rude to tell people to get pale, so it should be rude to tell naturally pale people to "get a tan". It's a pain finding a somewhat decent match to foundation too, since everyone here is either naturally dark or white girls sunbathe 24/7 to get a perfect golden tan. It's not the people's fault though, it's the companies'.

I love a green eye shadow and I think it can be worn by anyone! I think it is an under appreciated color for the eye in the makeup community right now, a color out of favor since the warm fiery colors seem to be on the dance cards.

I love olive shadow, I have several in my kit. It is underappreciated--like John said it makes every eye look great and is really beautiful to wear. I like the reds but not too red, it can look outrageous if not done right.

Yes! I love to apply wet money to my lids and it’s lifting with the mascara above, the lovers glow is exactly as it should be. You’re the first artist who’s used the dreamy color combinations do done it justice! Apparently, the few videos have turned into binge watching. The smiles are glorious. I feel right at home. I relate to nocturnal hours, and associating colors to numbers as well as taste and textures. This is so relaxing and mesmerizing. I actually want, to pick up a brush again.

My Lord! This is very important! :) Seeing numbers in your mind and picturing them as a color is a type of synesthesia called grapheme-color synesthesia. You should look it up - there are some composers who write their music based on the colors they see/associate when certain chords are played, or even specific notes. Synesthesia is relatively rare so it makes you very special! I also see numbers in my mind and associate/see them as having a color. Seven for me is lime green and eight is like a brick red! I learned about synesthesia in college when I was studying music. :) Congrats on being a synesthete!

Thank you for another informative & inspiring film. I would love to see you create a film about your number/colour associations. The idea fascinates me! Also, could you please address how to work with watery eyes & how to keep eyeshadow on these problematic peeper? It is the bane of my makeup creativity as of late, as well as perspiration in the summer ruining foundation. Any tips or tricks from a professional such as yourself would be so appreciated... I would imagine these issues would also be a problem for photography under intense lighting & would love to know how professional makeup artists deal with it, other than constant reapplication & touching up. It makes me sad thinking what’s gonna happen when you reach a million subscribers! Because it’s definitely going to happen... really hoping you stay true to yourself because you have the best personality of any beauty guru and in my opinion are by far the most classy and intelligent. I feel like a lot of them get caught up in the drama and cater to the audience. I am hoping you always remember why you started beauty, which is because you love it not because it is your *job*. You put a lot of thought behind your looks and you explain the reasoning and go into the science stuff behind it. Not just how to do the makeup by why you chose the colors, how they can be worn on different skin tones, etc.
