Alanis is from GENERATION X she was born in 1974. Also she created songs to young people in 90's not people that was born in 90's. Alanis stay doing a great perfomance, she has the actitude, great artist and she is almost 50 years old. She really stole this show with her perfomance and power. Really a girl power. In 90's she didn't wear short skirt or looks like model, she was a hippie girl with a great talent.
@@rebecca8525 I cannot deny that you are right :). I personally love that Alanis writes so much of her own material and her songs cover such a wide range of the human condition.
She said in the Jagged documentary she wanted an all guy band because she wouldn't be able to handle being on the road with a bunch of women. Just as long as the guys understand nothing romantic was going to happen.
I'm a 52yo guy. I bought Jagged Little Pill on cd after it's release and loved it. Olivia and Alanis are a good fit. This is a powerful performance and was GREAT fun to watch. Five star post. 👌👍👍👍
I remember when Alanis sang this with Taylor Swift on the 1989 tour. Not as many of the young fans were singing along as there are here. I wonder what changed? Whatever it is, I'm glad Alanis is getting the love she deserves.
I’m happy too! Gen Z is getting into Alanis, Fiona Apple, and Tori Amos and I couldn’t be any happier. I think You Oughtta Know being on Bridgerton might’ve also revived it a bit :)
I think Olivia’s music reminds more of Alanis’ then Taylor’s music does, so I think there is a greater chance that more fans of Olivia’s know Alanis or just know her biggest songs
Olivia has mentioned Alanis several times as an inspiration and they both have a very cool interview where they interview each other. She's a legit fan, and I'm so happy cause people need to know Alanis!!! Both are queeeeens!
If I didn’t know any better, I’d assume Alanis was only big a few years ago, because she REALLY doesn’t sound like 20 years has gone by. She sounds almost identical to the original recording, which is something most people can’t pull off, especially after as long as its been for her. In short, Alanis has hardly aged a day.
So cool to see them both on the stage in this tour. so perfect. There were too many little kids that wouldn't know this song but they still rocked on! The adults in the crowd were going crazy! love it
I'm glad this was on my RU-vid feed! I didn't know I needed to see this but definitely glad I did! I FREAKIN LOVE ALANIS MORRISETTE! TO SEE THE YOUNGER GENERATION SHOWING ALANIS LOVE IS DEFINITELY HEARTWARMING ☺️💞💕💞 #indigomoormars
Looking at the crowd, it's a damn shame that so many kids don't listen to music that came out before they were born (except the parents who took their kids for the gig). That stuff is what inspired modern artists anyway.
Lmao I was gonna go to her show alone but I realized I’d be the weird 30 year old dude at an Olivia Rodrigo concert. But damn would have lost it when alanis came out
@@jaredoconnor2287 I was the weird 40 yr old guy that went alone to see Olivia perform in Phily. It was fine and had a wonderful time and I would do it again, though I would buy tickets earlier to get closer to the stage and save money.
i was there front row pit in the center! it sounded amazing live but it was so loud with everyone singing, you can barely hear them singing in the videos i took.
@@andreagenesis5046 You’re lucky!! I really hope that Olivia comes to Australia!! I understand that it was very loud. When it comes to videos of concerts the audio is never gonna be that good.
I love Alannis Morrisette but this song disturbs me. Sounds like a woman thats obsessed with a guy who doesnt give a damn and he left quite awhile ago. Theres too much of that stuff going on!
Nah man, it’s not an obsessed person. It’s the anger that comes out of a heartbreak. You can sit here and tell me you’ve never been angry after a breakup
@@isabellerosario9208 You know, I didn't take time to type this, but, yes it's true! I've been angry and felt crazy, but after I had enough therapy, I was able to learn that society tends to EXPECT women to stick around, and carry the weight of the relationship. Eventually it falls apart. Sometimes gradually, but many times, the red flags were there earlier. When a guy just quickly drops you and jumps in with another woman, he WASNT really connected in the first place, except during sex. There's a great book called " Men Who Can't Love". Very helpful.
@@jazzsoul1695 Alanis continuing to play this song doesn’t mean she’s still stuck on that relationship. On one performance she said “This isn’t easy when you’re not angry anymore”. There will always be people that can relate though, so the song continues.
