Great question. I love the OMD E series. It's construction and high attention to detail, in terms of design-fit and finish-is uncanny. Compared to the A7II, in terms of design and fit and finish, I favor the Olympus. It's sturdier feeling, more dense to be specific. The lad screen feels thick, all the hinges have some resistance. The buttons don't feel cheap and there is scroll wheel, which I love because the A72's scroll wheel felt flimsy. The SD card door on the Sony was flimsy too. Now, that's physical design. In terms of photo it's not a fair comparison. Full frame sensors are amazing. For they excellent image quality to shallower depth of field, it's something you get very used to easily. I have a 5D3 that I use for my professional work and don't hesitate using it. In terms of video, the same rules apply with full frame vs a crop sensor. However, Olympus has implemented amazing software coupled with their hardware and the combo work together amazingly with stellar image and video quality. The Olympus is my all around daily shooter. It takes amazing photos, it's compact, feels like a light solid brick that can take bumps without fret. The Sony felt like an in between camera for me. Like I should have an Olympus a 5D and a A72. But, I was looking for an all around package. And the Olympus is it. It's my travel camera, reliable and takes amazing photo and video. If the Sony could tighten up on its video with showing less Moire and tightened up their design in terms of the little things and details, then I would be all in. But the EM5 series will always be my go to... At least for now. Hope this helps!

i was thinking this! almost bought the mark ii before i read this

JC Santos keep the em5 mark i until they make a significant upgrade .... either that or go for the em1 mark ii ....
