At this point this is a better choice: www.extrafudge.com/ref/B07S2H45NN It seems like they changed the product a little, if you got the new version can you please comment about it? thanks!
Thank you! I’ve lost my instruction manual in my house mess. I needed to set the time and date. I would never have looked inside the battery compartment for the clock buttons. Who knew?
You're not positioning the monitor correctly. It should sit on the front of your wrist, not on the side. There is a sensor on the other side of the face. That sensor needs to rest up against the arteries in your wrist for accurate readings.
I have the same model,It throws out numbers all over the board . It will read 157 ten minutes later 109,ten minutes later 144 high. That is why I`m watching this video.I use it just like you do.I have to get 3 different readings close together to somewhat trust it.if all 3 are not close,I have to get more.My BP determines on if I take a full BP pill,1/2 a pill or no pill.I had a stroke due to high BP.DR. said I wont survive another stroke. My life depends on this.I am very unsatisfied.
While my doctor did say they are not as good as the arm machines he did also say it's better than nothing. The moment I see the arm cuff my BP goes up! I hate them so much. The wrist will have to do.
Thank you for this explanation. I have had this for a while but couldn't remember how my doctor instructed me to use it. The video was a perfect explanation. Thumbs up!
Just an F.Y.I. about the "average memory symbol" you talk about at 3:28. This unit does not calculate averages of ALL your readings. It ONLY calculates the last 3 readings and only if they are taking within 10 minutes of the most recent reading.
I have a wrist cuff. I happen to tell my cardiologist nurse. She said it needed to be calibrated. Scared the crap out of me. It read 202/102 almost every time it was high. I went to my doctor today and my pressure was 120/80 Wow
The BP652 has really changed. The face is very smooth now and the band isn't rigid and it is captive so putting it on is easy. It also seems much more sleek.
I am bedridden 24x7 and am not able to sit straight up with feet flat on the floor. What is best modified position for me to get as accurate as possible? Should I expect my values to be on low end or high end of range--esp since I cannot do much exercise in bed per Dr orders? Model recommend?
Not happy with the fact that in their other monitors, I could upload the values I recorded to my PC... but not with this one. While I appreciate the fact that it can record 200 readings - what the bleep am I supposed to do with them?
This product is not supposed to be covering the wrist bone as is done in this video. Per the manual: "Make sure the wrist cuff does not cover the protruding part of the wrist bone on the outside of the wrist."
Great video. Can you possibly measure the band itself to see how long it is? I'm wanting to know how big of a wrist this will fit and nothing in the literature shows the maximum wrist size the unit will work with.
Looking at other models by other companies/brands: Omron BP652 7 Series Blood Pressure Wrist Unit. See Gurin & LotFancy have very similar units. Looking at front face of unit , operation and qutity. Are they all made by same MFg in China?
First of all I want to thank you for this informative video. I have a much older model & the manual is long lost. . it is an OMRON HEM 637, but I think they operate pretty similar. I would like to set it up for 2 people, but do not know how to do it. Would appreciate it if you touch on that subject. Thk U!!
Am using a passed on Omron (my sibling's). I do not have the Getting Started and the Manual. May you please share how to do following : 1). Reset the On1 or On2; 2). Erase/Clear the Memory, etc. I've done resetting the Time and Date. Thank you!
My question to blue tube is how do you fix a wrist blood pressure monitor. Mine is only about a year old and now he is losing are so when I push the button to get it to inflate it inflates fine but when it's coming down all the air goes out of it and then a little air ER R symbol comes up on the screen anybody know what I can do I'm going to try to take it apart but that's probably going to be a disaster
My mom was just put on a new medication so she got this and it reads her way too low, she actually called 911 today bc it said it was super low. The paramedics took it and it was actually high, not low.
i have the same one but my question is how accurate is it compared to the ones they have in hospitals its like i get a better reading when i go get a blood preasure check with doctor and it it seems the wrist monitor gives me a higher reading
It is important to include your age in this video; wrist meters are known for its inaccuracy - if you are in your mid twenties then the reading it is showing is correct. In case reading shown in this video is for the older person then this BP reading is too good to be true i.e. viewer will think about the inaccuracy of Omron BP652 7 Series?
I would just like to ask.. Its about my Auntie's ORMON... Its not like what is yours.. Its model is HEM-714C.... And i tried to search it on google., web, and youtube but not a single site has my question... So this is my question, my Aunt's ormon is from Japan coz she lives there and i borrowed her Ormon HEM 714C today... I know how it works but i cant understand the signs or the meaning of the symbols at the side of that blood presure thing... Can you help me?? After i finished what to do there will be a 147(then big space) 87(sample) then a P 38.... Is it just like yours? And the symbols at the side i cant read coz its not translated in english i tried asking my Aunt is not here and i need the answer ASAP coz our teacher kinda told us to bring something that is about our lesson... Help me please... Try searching the model and you!ll see what i mean... I mean the symbols at the side.... Thanks for reading, i hope you understand what i mean and reply to me ASAP
+Roby MitchellMD i agree, however we have used this exact model in my office for three years for quick screenings and has shown to be very accurate, but most other wrist cuffs read high due to smaller vessels in the wrist.
what about the error showed in the screen ? i hace one here, but when i started to measure it shows a letter E withoout a number. Do you know whats that ?
Good video. I have this cuff but have misplaced the instructions. I am interested in knowing what display icons 'test tube rack' and 'shaky man' mean. Also what the indicater L in a box underneath Person A means.
I have a pretty new one I bought around 2017 or so and my doctor said the wrist monitors are the worst for accuracy and he said you should always have your BP monitors calibrated at the doctor's office to make sure they're accurate. Nine's an Omron too. He said mine was pretty accurate, but I've seen other people's reviews on these Omrons and they said theirs were terrible. Anyway, the arm cuff monitors are more accurate.
It is a real shame for any professional to state such nonsense.... these devices are accurate as long as you keep the monitor at heart level and don't move while testing. Your monitor has a level sensor which makes it pretty accurate, although monitors without this level sensor are also accurate as you keep in mind the position rule. Even the rule of not talking is becoming obsolete because the electronic sensors are not required to listen the heartbeats (however I'm not sure about this). Arm cuff monitors are not required to watch for position because they are ALWAYS at heart level.
besides, I had one of yours, but I made the mistake of taking it to the store where I bought it to have it tested for accuracy, but they just took it away from me and gave me the new HEM-6300 as a replacement. They told me that these devices where recalled, and didn't gave it back. Still am not happy with the new one because it only stores data from one user only, and the old one had 2 memory sets and a guest set.... care to switch them?
HOW DO YOU SET THE DATE AND THE TIME AFTER REPLACING IT WITH BRAND NEW UNREFURBISHED UNUSED NONRECHARGEABLE BATTERIES?? HELP ALLAH AKBAR HELP PLEASES SOMEONE PLEASE HEL;P ME THIS UNIT NIS MY LIFE NOW DUE TO BIG AUTOMOBILE CAR WRECK WITH OTHER AMERICAN CITIZENS WHO WERE RESPECTABLE POLITE TOWARD MY PEOPLES. . THNK YOU
Nice review, not only tells what's included in the box but also tells how to use it and important features. 👌 The wrist band has to be 1cm apox. away from the wrist bone so that BONE should NOT resist against the device pressure measurement. 👏
