I can try and do a video, I'm always a bit sensitive when it comes to discussing prices for jobs, but I can try and discuss what I look for and how I go about it. Thanks for watching mate

Thanks for the support as always Robert, the first fix is always the worst on these jobs, once all the pipework is in the job becomes quite easy, you are right though, I will be pleased when it's finished

Great work and video Tom👍😎 When ive had high points on a secondary which airlocks i install a single check valve with an auto air vent, allows air out but the pump cant draw air in. Congrats on 5K Tom😎😎😎

That's a good tip to be fair, I tend to try and avoid high points but the steel was right in the way on this one, thanks for the support as always PB

Hi Tom, that job looks a large complicated set up, I would get confused as to were I’m up to, maybe that’s an old age thing I’ve got? It’s great to see them beautiful long runs of copper pipe in situ, copper and solder, well done Tom. Another great film thank you, I hope you get some time off over the bank holiday weekend. I look forward to the next episode, take care, thank you Tom. 👍👍👍

You two grafted hard there, looks great, did you design it on the fly, so to speak?
@PlumbLikeTom
@PlumbLikeTom Год назад
Thanks for the support as always mate, the underfloor heating is designed by the supplier but I designed everything else, I work to a customer supplied specification and architect drawings but all the pipe runs and sizes I work out as I go along
@effervescence5664
@effervescence5664 Год назад
Got to admit pipework runs are gorgeous but I probably would have drilled the steel and run straight through it. Lucky our local engineers allow for it but not every engineer is happy for 25mm holes to be drilled through in close proximity to each other.
@PlumbLikeTom
@PlumbLikeTom Год назад
It would have looked a lot neater to run straight through like you say, I never like drilling steels as sometimes building control will ask for a structural report, not that it would fall down but everyone has to cover their back, thanks for watching as always mate

Great Real Life Plumbing Tom. Mate, you need a Pay Out reel for that UFH Pipes, they’re not expensive & it’s a one man job then. It’s funny, we’ve been doing UFH here in Jockoland for 30-40 years & England is only really catching on to it. As long as you keep your loop to no more than 100M, it’ll be golden👍👍 I did my first UFH job in the early 80’s. Keep em coming, Pleased you got your Sub Numbers up👍👍
@PlumbLikeTom
@PlumbLikeTom Год назад
Thanks for the support as always mate, the loop lengths on this job are all a maximum of 80m but most average around 68m, I do probably need to get a de coiler, I generally spin the coil until I have 70m of pipe off, and then work it into the room, this overlay system is a bit of a pain with the boards as it tends to pop out in the smaller rooms, onwards and upwards with the subs, I'm just so pleased so may people enjoy my content
@TheDickPuller
@TheDickPuller Год назад
@@PlumbLikeTom Mate believe me I’ve tons of UFH experience. It’s simple, Tracks down first, Mount your manifold, Pay Out reel at manifold & carefully consider your loops, working from one side of the manifold to the other, depending on the loop layout. Never kink a pipe or cross over a pipe. Complete & pressure test the whole manifold, including loops. Leave the pressure on & fit a pressure gauge. If some hairy arsed Builder damages a pipe, you’ll know.

Good work Tom. Not sure about those toilet frames, doesn't look enough room to me. Is the studding going to be strong enough, I'd be a bit doubtful to be honest, might get grout lines cracking etc.
@PlumbLikeTom
@PlumbLikeTom Год назад
Thanks for the support as always Martin, I will reinforce the studding, I believe the client is going for mermaid boarding which makes for stronger walls behind the toilets
