#boatbatteries #batterycharger Time to install a dual battery charger for my 24v system for my boat. Amazon Affiliate Link NOCO Battery Charger -amzn.to/3yWOHO2
Mine states specifically in the installation direction, not to attach to any carpeted surface. Even to wood i use either plastic or metal spacers under the mounts. Allows better air flo to the heatsinks.
IMPORTANT - FYI Thank you for contacting NOCO Support. The GENM1-3 Mini and GEN1-4 chargers did not have over voltage sensors, so you could connect a charging bank to each 12V battery in your battery bank, whether it was wired in series or parallel, without disconnecting the batteries from each other. The GEN5X and GENPRO10X chargers do have over voltage sensors, so you can connect a charging bank to each 12V battery in your battery bank wired in series without disconnecting the batteries from each other, but cannot do so if the batteries are wired in parallel. For batteries connected in parallel, you can only charge all of the batteries in that battery bank with a single charging bank unless they are disconnected from each other before charging and then separate banks can be used for each battery.
@@BendItFishing You have the batteries wired up in series, 24v. You hooked the charger up individually - 12v. You need to break the connection between the batteries while charging to do so.
Hello, just charged my Lithium batteries with this charger and i was surprised at how hot the charger got. Have you had any problems with where you mounted it and the heat that comes off the charger?
So that initial charger in the video was faulty and had to be returned, but I did just buy the same Noco but 20 amp for my litiums and haven't noticed any heat issues but I haven't checked. I think if it got to hot it would just slow the charger down
