Fabulous! This is just about the most exciting car to be resurrected in recent years, and Duncan Pittaway is a hero ... not only for his spectacular rebuild , but also for not being afraid to drive it really quickly. Great Stuff. Can't wait to see the car in the flesh.

Probably restrict flow.. they were going for maximum speed. Plus would the metal handle such quick heating and cooling each run?

The Problem with these old things is the Engine can produce lots of torque but the tiny Chain that gives Power to the rear wheels cannot handle so much Torque😂

TheLiquidKnight because the AA were the sponsors of the event, so the bikes came up after the last car of every session, the beast was the last one in its session.

TheLiquidKnight They were probably all carrying Fire Extinguishers.... in case something caught on fire. That, and many, many racers of that time period DIED when those chain drives (without guards) decided to come loose. A chain whipping up into your skull is deadly.
