Like us on Facebook: / hauser.lux David finished 3rd in the European Hillclimb Championship this weekend and has set the track record for formula cars. A thrilling and insane high speed run in 1.45.7. Enjoy it !
@@Dr.IanPlect He starts at 0:05 and finishes at 1:51, so the hillclimb takes him 1:46. Which is exactly the time of his three competitive runs 1:46.09 - 1:46.25 - 1:45.74. So, he is pushing hard enough to secure a podium finish at a European Championship hillclimb.
Driving this like like saying "Nope, I don't want to die of getting old I want to die flying out of a cliff strapped into a racingcar going way to fast having a heartattack while flying to death!" Crazy epic
1.45.73 is the time of David's run which is an average speed of 177 km/h with 3 hairpins and standing start. Check the videos from outside, but if you don't believe, then don't believe it.
For anyone thinking this has been speed up, It hasn't been. The engine notes are correct and GP cars really are that fast. You have to give this guy huge credit, he was completely stuck in trusting his car for grip in nearly every corner, If he hadn't gotten that grip, he would've had a bad thing coming.
The base is the original GP2 Mecachrome/Renaulz, but in hillclimb the engine cannot be bigger than 3L so Swiss Racing Enngineering downsized the engine to 3L
Definitely some of the best driving I have ever seen. Pretty sure that’s not your first run up there..! It’s so fast it would take a lot of learning and big punishment for mistakes. Brilliant
I nice gentle ride with 176 kph average (5169 m in 105,74 sec) on an sunday afternoon (18th aug 2013), watching the beautiful landscape, smell the forest and the meadows, catching some butterflies, bugs and flies and being one with mother nature. That's life!
That was super impressive! The engine tune reminds me of a modern version of the Cosworth engines from the late 60s with a much better gearbox. Great video!!
This hillclimb is in Switzerland and i live here, funny is that we have a racetrack prohibition because of danger, since the tragic crash at 24h lemans in 1955! But this is not dangerous i guess? ^^
The ban was because so often cars flew into crowds, with the horrible accident at Le Man being the worst event at the time. As you can see here, the crowds are mostly far away from the racing car.
Wieder eine sehr starke Leistung. Schon gigantisch wie es da mit Vollgas durch "Les Grippons" geht. Da gehört schon eine Menge Mut und Können dazu. Danke fürs Hochladen.
Great run, fully concentrated and freaking pilot, driving though the corners insanely fast. The old 70s driving style in formula 1. I really miss the V8s. Thanks for the video.
Ces voitures sont redoutables et chapeau à ces pilotes au sang froid incroyable pour enchainer ces courbes , la voiture n'y serait pour rien sans la maitrise d'elle et de soit- même...!!!
