So henry's family is The savior The black fairy The dark one The evil queen The queen of hearts Peter pan Yeah thats some powerful fsmily tree right there
Technically he's not actually related to Regina or Cora, only by adoption not by blood. But he is related by blood to Peter Pan and the Black Fairy, being that they're his great-grand parents. No wonder Regina put him in therapy. Even though that wasn't the reason, I'm surprised he didn't need therapy for real after all that craziness
@@MasterAnakinSkyWalker Star Lite didn't mention blood, but the fact that you are stuck on it is kind of shallow of you. Families are not created just by blood.
@@stevensanto5934 They did, but it’s still sad that both of his parents either hated him that much or loved power that much that he had to kill them to protect his own family - their own grandchildren and daughter-in-law.
I know, right. I feel like with two villains as parents Rumple did not have any other fate or chance but to become the Dark One. Poor Rumple, I know that he is bad and all but he does love his family in his way anyway
@@deansmith9914 snow once said it’s never black and white. Hero’s and villains are all grey. Gold was born to be a hero and strayed Regina was good and became evil and back again
You’re right. And it’s a damn shame that they didn’t make him the central character of season 7. It would’ve made sense for him to develop magic since his Emma’s son; or have Regina teach him. They made him basic in season 7. :(
Most importantly she gave reasons for her son to fight back, she took Belle from him and hurt Gideon and Henry too, I'm sure seeing his grandson injured like that must have troubled him since he most definitely knew that his mother had caused it.
5. She thought her death would be insurance of Gideon winning when it did nothing plus it was part of her son’s destiny and was half of good winning the final battle
Rumple is finally seeing how others perceive him in the form of his mother and the only way he break free of that is destroying her since he is starting to end up like her and he doesn’t want that
This was never his fate his mother changed his fate its was created his life gone like that she cut his future to keep her powers instead of giving that up so he would have had a better life and future
Not to mention they are different, by no means the same, both dark yes but she keeps her grandson captive for decades from the time he was born, abandoned rumple his entire life and so on, yes rumple has done some bad shit, but as far as I’ve seen he never did anything that bad to his family, yes he abandoned baelfire but it was in a moment of weakness and spent over a century trying to get back to him, once he found out Henry was his grandson yes it may have taken some time for him to get over the whole Henry being his undoing thing but he saved their asses from pan and went through hell trying to protect Henry, his judgement maybe clouded by power but at least he fights for the people he loves, both his mother and his father never did that all they ever did to their family was torment them
She abandoned Rumple Pan abandoned Rumple Rumple abandoned Baelfire Baelfire abandoned pregnant Emma Emma abandoned Henry Snow and Charming abandoned Emma Henry abandoned Lucy Whether or not they wanted to, they all abandoned someone at one point...
They actually didn't use that line of "All magic always comes with a price" for a while and it gabe me goosebumps to hear it again! It's like tje catchphrase of the series.
@@nicokings5180 indeed. Magic is a cheat to break the natural laws. Therefore, it's only fitting that there should be some kind of price. And even if you don't see the consequences immediately, the thing is, you know you cheated. And if you think you got away with it, you'll probably do it again and again and reinforce making such decisions. Because, why not? You thought you got away. And eventually, you'll be foolish and arrogant enough to make such a decision expecting to get away with it, only to have reality slap you in the face. You won't see it coming because you thought you were good enough to keep gaming the system.
If anything, this episode really explains two things; 1: Why Rumple feels like he needs to have power to survive, he was born with it, and then his mom took it away, it equivalent to losing a limb. It was apart of him, and then it was gone, like how cruel. 2: It explains why he tries so hard to be good but fails, he was destined to be good but again, it was taken away from him. He was the saviour, the force of good, and his mom literally stole that destiny away, so that he couldn't have it. From what I can perceive she never took away his ability to have good intentions and be a hero but basically made it impossible for his good intentions and heroic actions to have good outcomes. Everything he did to be good, love, help and protect had terrible outcomes despite how pure the intention was. Like how he became the dark one, he literally did that to protect his child and all children, keep families together, stop a war and save everyone, but we all know what happened next. This is just so sad cause it just makes me so aware as to why he's in consent turmoil :( The worst part is her actions most likely had a butterfly effect and affected almost everyone else in the story, like Regina.
@@danielledouglas99 and the story of rumple was very interesting and sad to discover, when he was a child, his father had abandoned him, and of years later, he has wanted to go to the war but he injured himself because he was afraid of dying and his wife milah the considered her a coward, and when he has wanted to become the dark one it was to protect his son baelfire and when he lost it, he has tried everything to find it, and when he has meet belle, he has found his happiness
@@onedankind8168 Definitely not the first time. But there aren't many, you have to admit. He ends up being good, but it's a long, dark road before he gets there.
@@harmony9690think she would still go with Hook but would have been a interesting third dynamic Regina his adoptive mom, Emma is birth mom, Hook his stepfather and Neal is real father
Niamh Mclarnon but the wish rumple never found any love/light and went on to defeat and/or kill everyone!! 😈 seeing him one last time ( or many since I rewatched it) was the greatest wish, and an even darker one at that
Niamh Mclarnon also apparently the black fairy was wrong, Wish Rumple (darkness) did snuff out all of the light in his entire realm. Except what was left in henry
@@tomgallowitz The only sad thing about Rumple killing his mom is 1 simple truth: FIONA GENIUNELY CARED ABOUT HIM, but because of her choices, she had to die
For a brief moment when Fiona said she could bring back the dead for so reason, for a split second I honest to god thought she was taking about peter, but then I remembered bealfire
2:43 Does this mean that Evil Swan wouldn't have gone evil? She might have been the dark one but she was also the savior and still had her light magic. It wasn't till Hook became a dark one where her darkness was brought out, and even then it couldn't snuff out her light.
Man Rumple pretty much had the worst parents in the whole series. Both his mother and father became villains and both died at Rumple's hands. Talk about karma.
Reminds me of Disney movies where the villain has a small moment of triumph, but it all comes crashing down once good stops them. Also reminded me of Mother Gothel’s death aside from aging just turning into a pile of dust
@@soixsantesyup plus you can tell here once Rumple gives her the reminder about magic she gets desperate since she knows everything she did was for nothing yet falsely believes that her death would insure victory, she underestimated her son, Emma, and great grandson plus Gideon may have been her slave but underneath he was good and didn’t want to do what his grandmother wanted
Wish there was more emotion in black fairy’s face as she perished & realized all her endgame plans were for nothing, but at least I saw most satisfying look on her face 🤩
Unfortunately, Rumple never uses his impish voice with his parents. It sucks because I would've loved to see Rumple going all crazy imp on Pan and Black Fairy.
HOOK.. i need to kill the bloody Crocodile.. BELLE.. you will always be the Beast.. but i love the fact that Rumple been to all the worlds to cause chaos and destruction.. Magic comes at a price but not for you Rumple thats because ive found a loophole dearie.. 😎😎😎😎
Isn't it Ironic? Rumple was destined to kill the Black Fairy as the Savior but Rumple still killed the Black Fairy as the Dark One. Basically there was no way to run away from fate, the ending was the same just with a little twist.
From all the characters the one that suffered the most was Rumple I mean he had the worst parents in the history both of them abandoned him in their quest of becoming powerful one for selfish reasons and the other because she thought she was protecting him but still doesn't justify that all the pain and suffering he went through was mainly because of his parent's bad decisions.
Well it does make sense, the only way to kill one Dark One is to kill them with their Dagger. The only difference is that the Darkness itself doesn't die bit transfers itself into the killer. The only way for the Dark One to die and for the Darkness to not get tranfered into someone else is for the current Dark One to kill themselves. Whether with the Dagger, and getting stuck in the Underworld (unless someone stupid enough trade their life for them) or to do what Rumple did when he sacrificed himself to safe Rogers.
I found this conversation between them so so powerful! Rumple's line about not wanting to pay the price of dark magic by using it more gave a hell of strenght that I doubt I can ever get over😇it gives a hell of meaning about how much tired he really is! Dark magic, dark side, light side, being screwed not only by being unloved but also loved, he just wants all of it to end💔but this event makes his story with Fiona a lot more tragic, I mean he just realized he's the reason for her turning to the dark side in the first place, just like how she made him miserable by cutting his destiny and having to kill her in this day so finally all of this shit can end and not only Storybrooke but also he himself can make a breath, is too tragic💔💔💔
The problem with mere humans who only acquired power like the black fairy is that they want more. No wonder Mother Gothel in S7 looks down upon humans.
Can't believe that after all these years of Rumpelstilkin being the dark one, serving as the antagonist, and killing people, Emma Swan still thought he was a savior.
damn rumple, killing your own selfish mother, atleast he gets things done lol. Tis why he's my favourite character that and his storyline, ine of tye best in the OUAT series. Despite being evil and the dark one, he tried to use it for good intentions, in the end he got what he always wanted, someone to love in peace. The beast has rested. 😏😏
Even though Fiona Snapped Rumplestilskin's Destiny to become a great Hero or Savior after realising that she's the Great Evil with whom he'll fight. Still Fiona got killed by Rumplestilskin ( Tiger Lily's words became true that both Mother and Son are destined to destroy each other)
I think you mean Malcolm met Fiona again.. i really dont think Peter Pan has any interest in Fiona... well.. he might kidnap her for a plan he hasnt yet thought of
Fiona's one of the best villains and her actress is amazing she play's the villain side perfectly especially as the black fairy's magic role i love how Into the character she is very talented. Rumple did the right thing and i loved hearing the All Magic comes with a price that line always gives chills everytime love Once Upon A Time
Interesting thing to note. She said she'll make them love him. But there's just one problem. If you make someone love someone through compulsion, that's not love. That's enslavement. Love is to be freely given. That's something that Fiona doesn't understand.
I love that the arsonist from Dexter played her, she's such a lovely villain Edit: No offense! I assume she plays her alter ego when she's on camera :p
Honestly I'm kinda disappointed in how she died. They kept teasing her showdown with emma and it didn't happen I just wish they would have had her face off against Emma regina and zelena together that would have been better and epic
@@EmptyMan000 I'm only rooting for Rumple ridding us of those monsters who did that to him. Parents who would do that to their own kids are nothing but monsters that deserved to perish
Nah, Emma wasn't the real Savior of the Final Battle. Rumple was the Savior supposed to fight her in the Final Battle and kill her (and die in the process). Aladin was the Savior supposed to eliminate Jafar (and die in the process). Emma was the Savior destined to break the Dark Curse adn stop Regina. Which she did. Emma was not destined to die in a Final Battle. Fiona thought because she used the Shears of Destiny on Rumple, it means that he was not the Savior anymore and therefore the two wouldn't fight. But all she did was remove his destiny to die at her hands. But she never removed her own destiny of dying in the Final Battle by his hands. She made the mistake to focus on Emma as the current Savior, and that she will therefore be the one to fight her in the Final Battle. Everyone made the mistake to belive that Emma was still a great Savior after breaking the Curse. But after breaking said Curse she wasn't the Savior, she was just a normal person with Light Magic. Fiona arranged for her own innocent grandson to kill Emma even though it was actually pointless. In truth it didn't serve any purpose, as the one she should've been worrying about (or not had she just accepted to go back to her son and not fight any Battle) was Rumple, her own son.
I haven't completed the series. I'm at the start of season 6. Can someone pls tell me that if Rumple was supposed to die in the final battle i.e. end of season 6 then why didn't he die then? By killing the black fairy?
To be fair, he murdered them for all right reasons After everything Malcolm & Fiona did to rumple, id day they both deserve to end up in worse place & NEVER get their happy endings
@@soixsantes that was his greatest mistakes that he wouldn't remake he wouldn't allow his mother to bring benfire back because he knows benfire would not want that
Honestly, this was a long time coming. There’s only so many times Rumple can be burned by dark magic before he says enough is enough. Ever since he died and was resurrected, it’s been one tragedy after another. First, his son would inevitably die because he resurrected him, then he becomes a slave to Zelena, then his son dies in his arms. Then he tries to be a good person, big lies to his wife about killing Zelena, which is understandable because Zelena killed his son. He tries to be good for 5 minutes before he sees a way to carve himself away from the dagger so no one can ever control him like Zelena did, and when he’s forced over the town line, the darkness nearly consumes him and nearly kills him, and to save him, he loses his powers and immortality, essentially becoming the coward he used to be. Belle leaves him, so he becomes the Dark One AGAIN right before Belle comes back, only to lose her because of his choices. Season 6 was essentially him trying to be the evil Dark One again, but realizing that he’s not that man anymore. Him allying with his mother was basically a desperate attempt to be the man he used to be, and when she betrayed him, he realized he wasn’t and could never return to being that man. This is a great scene showing just how tired he is of constantly getting screwed over by magic in that he absolutely refuses to trust his mother because he knows what’s down that road and he refuses to become that man again
I haven't finish season 6 (I'm watching it right now) but I hate her so much with all my heart because of all the pain she caused that I had to look up her death just to make myself feel better...I regret nothing
Honestly? He probably would have accepted the offer. I mean, getting everything he wanted with damn near consequence free magic? Yeah, there's no way he's paint that up along with bringing back baelfire.
Am I the only one who felt sorry for her? She really loved her son so much that she practically became the black fairy to save him. Albeit her choices were made in an extremely selfish way it was still out of love..
Sharinganwizard yeah I agree and that selfish part was mostly cuz she cut his string to his destiny for her power instead but overall she loved him but did it in a matter that doomed her
I’m reveling in her ultimate destruction, after seeing her episodes, GOOD RIDDANCE I say & hope she finds underworld & hopefully Worse place more to her liking. BYE BYE BLACKY😂😂😂😂😂
After re watching some clips and episodes I do feel sorry for her too... I didn't like her at first I was like naah I just want her to disappear but now I kind of like her... maybe because I met the actress last year and she was so polite and elegant and funny but I also think that Fiona didn't get the ending she deserved :(
I'm just realizing that Robert Carlyle and Jaime Murray played Dracula and Carmilla in castlevania, Robert in lords of shadow and Jaime in the netflix series.
