John --- that building you called a temple is actually a copy of the Taj Mahal in India. The person who had it built was a multi millionare back in the 1910s and 20s he and his wife went to India as part of a round the world trip and she loved the Taj Mahal so much her husband had copy of it built here in Compton. It stayed in the family for a while then sold and the building and grounds became a cathedral and cemetary as it still is today. There is a mausoleum as well. I have done electrical work in the cathedral for the TNT series called The Last Ship. I've worked there for other shows and it was used in the movie Phantasm from the 1980s. You should look up the history of the place. They got busted for not moving bodies buried that they were supposed to move because the property line changed when the city was widening Compton Blvd and when the city workers started digging up the sidewalk they started finding caskets and graves with bodies and it turned into a huge law suit between the owners back then and the families of the deceased and the city.

Watching your videos reminds of times I would go to LA and visit my cousin who was like a sister to me. She and I would roll around on skateboards and she would show me all the wild shit that went down in LA haha. She is now since passed away and I’ve been watching your videos for a few days in a row now and just makes me remember her taking me around and all the madness we would see. I'm over in that neighborhood a couple of days a week driving from one end of the city to the other end. I take side streets instead of the freeways a lot of times. You don't always save time but it keeps you busy rather than doing 5 miles an hour stop and go on the freeway. It will make you fall asleep. It hypnotizes you. Especially when I'm up at 5 am and work all day driving all over town and then 5 or 6 pm driving home dog ass tired. I'd rather have to pay attention to street lights and weaving in and out of side streets to keep alert.
I'm in Cali Bay area paying $2200.00 for a 1 bedroom apartment lol. I left L.A. in '95 and moved to San Jose area for six yrs then moved to San Rafael for 11 years then in Dec 2011 back to L.A. . I missed LA and glad to be back. The rent situation here is no better than the Bay Area. Expensive as fuck. Even in the bad neighborhoods rent is high. It's crazy.
