Thank you for the comparison! This is the only video I've found that articulated the differences between the two Annis, which I'm considering saving up for. The 23 sounds like the one for me!
Pheww... Thanks for the comparison. I heard about Diva 21 were better than 23 and it got me nervous. Also I just checked the price for Anni in Aus, and it's >$5000, so.... Diva will stay with me till the end of time.
Aren't they made to order? If that's the case could the customer just ask to bring the anni23 to the anni21 tuning? (unless the drivers in charge of the bass is now different and the OG is discontinued but that would be odd)
It might not be possible because the owner keeps changing the internals of the OG versions to the new versions, so many things are different. Even Diva's nozzle is completely different material. And they also swapped the cable too. Not sure how we are going to get the same sound and how he can even promise that (and how I can believe him even if he says "okay").
Pilgrim gets destroyed by those. Pilgrim is a bit unnatural sounding. If you want Elysian, get their best stuff because they are not the most balanced sounding so only their best stuff are good enough to be not too wonky (I'm talking Diva and Annihilator). If you're in the price range of Pilgrims, you should get something else because imo the Pilgrims are an easy skip.
@@Viewer13128I would agree that pilgrim mids do feel a bit thin and unnatural, however I wouldn’t consider it an easy skip either. It’s treble and technical performance is insanely good for the price, so if u are a treble head I’d recommend it lol. Otherwise buy Davinci, cheaper and the mids sound more natural with better bass.
I've never heard the Anni 21 but from the little time I spent with 23 (demo) I love that treble it has and the bass is pretty fun. But I definitely think my friend would prefer the Anni 21, shame its gonna be hard for him to ever try it tho
Well we already know graphs don't tell the whole story but from the graph the differences that you hear can only be based on a change of driver's and not exactly on overall response difference....seems to be a 1 dB between the two Anni's and that is perhaps noticeable by 0.5% of the population under highly controlled and ideal conditions. Do you know if the DD drivers on the Anni have changed, as that is the only way i can say there is a difference in the bass quality, tonality. Thank you.
@Gizaudio Hey Timmy, I have serious comfort issues with the Diva 23. It feels like an unvented/closed IEM and it pulls lightly vacuum in my ear, it sweats very fast and I can hear my blood flow or chin movement. I have the same issues with the Softears RSV, but here I additionally get ear pressure over time (around 20-30min.). I can only use the Sancai Tips on both… But my question is: Has the Anni the same issues or does it feel really vented?
Hmm, I’ve never experienced anything like that on the diva 23. The fit for me are the same for both the anni and divas, really comfortable and little to no pressure build up. As far as venting goes they have the same vent at the top, so if ur experiencing that amount of discomfort with them, I would suggest not getting the anni or at the very least demo a pair first.
Liquid Ink martini is one of the worst cable i ever owned, the connector can't fit in with iBasso DX300 Max DAP and few other dongle/dac with case, and the pentaconn ear connector is a bit loose, 2 days after I receive my Annihilator 2023 the left channel died. I ended up buying a 3rd party cable and be done with it.
Yes, there's a difference, but personally, I don't think the technicality difference is worth another additional $2900 dollars. So it all depends on how you view these things. There's a vast diminishing return in IEM (even larger than speaker and over-ear headphones)
Ola bass Or Sigmot ew200 Or Trn conch Or Moondrop CHU II I want a gaming experience for a normal person to use, and they will be useful in FPS games, such as ambient sounds, watching videos, and podcasts. The bass is not as important to me as the sound, its purity and clarity are more important Is there a better option than them in the $40 category?
Interesting, my tests had Diva 23 sounding way worse than 21. Just a plasticky and dry mess whereas the OG was a price/performance champion. And for Anni23 vs 21, vastly different where 21 has more ethereal treble and more diffused stage but a very BA-like bass texture/timbre. 23 is almost too bassy and has a gritter/ harder treble, but overall is the more versatile set.
