Yeah for real! There was another video he did (forgot which one) where he also cut away on his deaths but he edited it in a way where it also cut off his commentary to was hilarious. It ends with him in like a last minute head on and he starts his typical commentary like "so I'm going to dive a little to pick up speed, I'll bank left then cut into him" *his plane is set on fire* *cut to black while cutting off his commentary* "And there you have it that's the video" Literally had me hollering

@@MausOfTheHouse It’s a Skyflash, you can tell because it looks far different to the normal AGM-12B/C Bullpup. Edit: was thinking of the Fireflash, but got them muddled up with the Viggen’s new missile, which is my bad 😅
One of the best ways I've found to deal with persistent MiG-19s in the Swift F7 is to go vertical and try and bait an overshoot, or bait them into trying to energy trap you. Get them slow and above you, and detected on your radar gunsight so that you can swat them with a fireflash. I have no idea why you're so eager to get rid of the fireflashes early on, they're incredibly useful aces to have up your sleeve.
The F7 and it's fireflash are so bizzare they should be doomed to fail but I have been having tons of success with this plane and I am falling in LOVE with it!
A bit of a necro post but would 8.3 be a less compressed tier? Would like to enjoy some kind of gunfighter jets with a few modern features without getting stomped by 9.0+
It depends. If the radar thing has a lock before you fire the missile, it will guide the missile on it's own. I just leave it on in head ons so that it auto locks the enemy and I can just focus on dodging his shots and launch the missile at 1.0 - 1.5 km
It’s my favorite jet, the missiles are wonky af though. Sometimes they will not track a stationary target and other times it says it’s tracking what’s in front of you and then the missile takes a massive turn.
Hey Defyn if you see this, is there a guide somewhere you made or anyone really that talks about the strengths/weaknesses of AIM missiles? Trying to look for a guide on how to use different US AIM missiles but I can't seem to find one
personally I don't consider the compressing at high speed a bad thing since it prevents me from ripping and ice also just learned to take advantage of it. also I never use my fireflashes in a rear on since the missiles are easier to dodge that way also the are more useful in a headon you can still launch them at any time
Question - why aren't you using the Fireflashes in head-ons form 3-4km out? They usually connect anyway and if the enemy dodges - they're out of a head-on with you charging at them.
In his mind maybe he thinks people will just dodge them and their wasted. But he also says how he tries to get rid of them so early so idk… I get all my kills with the fire flashes from ppl who head on me..

It is two warheads - the four rocket things are just boosters to carry the missiles. You need to turn the radar off then nose guide the missile within 2km (literally you have to aim your crosshair thingy at them). It has 10m proximity do you don't have to be deadly accurate it will still blow them out of the sky.
You can check by looking on the minimap If there isnt a solid blue (or whatever color you got) strip you cant repair on it Some maps like malta have airfields you can land on with an A point over it. This isn't one of them
"Extreme overload 9G" at 900 IAS seems quite painful, however this plane shits energy out its ass and it's very difficult to dogfight this unless you get very slow, can't wait to research iy
No it wont the viggen has no flares or chaff and only 2 strong missiles since its aim9s are just Swedish aim9p’s, since gaijin didn’t give it its aim9Ls

They flay where the planes nose points at Edit: this is how they used to work but by watching this vid I'm starting to doubt it's still like that. Could be that they are now guides by WASD or Arrow keys like the Italian AA Nords
They don't have a lock circle just follow the nose radar which has like a 2km range, and no target lock green square but you can se the radar display change when something is locked
MiG 17... I ducking hate fighting it. It turns like a prop (which I am 100% sure is a broken FM), has good speed, and guns, and missiles. So even when I play the j32b, which is .7br above it I just get denied becuse it can do circles around me, while I can't get my guns on target
The first match is so fking cinematic!!! The way you fight is so beautiful you should make some small cinematic movies. Atleast do a no hud vid without you speaking of the first match plssssss. No need for some generic epic music or great tracking shots. Just the game sound and these dogfights plssssss❤️❤️❤️
@@DEFYN yeah that's true, I still usually launch them from as far as possible because i don't want to commit to the head on so it's better to get them out of the way fast. It Also helps that a lot of the players I face are too dumb to understand what MSL means lol
i have about 250 games in this thing and never fought a mig19 with it alot of mig17s but never a 19 full uptiers in this thing are pretty fucking rare due to the br being full of players great plane
Please try out the MiG-23 again and this time.. use it well... The plane can out-run a Phantom and out-maneuver an F-5E I'm really having a hard time understanding why you struggle with it.
Fireflash go where you aim with mouse Defyn^^(11min20sec). 9 month i think a player like you know this now, but am surprise not the case when you make this vidéo.
