Not to mention releasing a remaster/remake on a game that is backwards compatible is a bad idea. Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story: Bowser Jr's Journey is a good example of this.

It's certainly not impossible. But she suggested it's an active project. Not a project from a year ago when they showed it. So it likely something they're working on to familiarize themselves with the hardware.

Okay, but let's be honest, Nintendo will not call it the "Switch Omega" for the sole reason it sounds too grown-up or adult-themed. If it's a successor as the rumors suggest, it's more likely to be called something like the "Switch Over" or something.

That will be enhance versions of switch games as well as new console exclusives for the new system but I don’t see the problem with Nintendo released in switch games for the new console smash Bros. Ultimate breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom.

Of course the new console will have exclusives, however they will most likely make "deluxe" version of Switch games too. They have a track record of releasing updated games on their newer hardware - regardless of how much of a jump the console has made. Take for instance, Link's Awakening on the original DMG Game Boy. It received a slight upgrade when they released the Game Boy Color with the release of Link's Awakening DX. I doubt the "Switch 2" will be a failure because of the occasional "deluxe" version of older games. In fact, I would personably be excited to see certain games get a little bump with extra content. Of course, these "deluxe" versions should only be supplemental to new releases - It should be kept in mind that a lot of Switch owners never got the chance to play Wii U titles as well. The PS5 and X-Box Series S/X have a different problem than re-releasing updated versions of past games. Those consoles are being held back because Sony and Microsoft are making newer games that need to be cross-generational when the Xbox One and PS4 should have been moved on from by now.
