We must also consider that Big Mom HAS eaten people. And Kaidou is a giant dragon. I think the Marines have very real reasons to fear that Sea Emperor Strawhat Luffy, who is known for being a glutton, could actually eat them.
This… is a valid point. I just thought that they were so shocked at how he inhaled all that food that they were scared of him mistaking them for food. But two out of the last seven emperors have publicly eaten people, so it’s not outside the realm of possibility.

@@painvillegaming4119 I definitely don't think it was planned, but I wouldn't say it's a coincidence either, my guess is that Oda constantly revisits past chapters, titles and storylines so when current events can be used as a reference he takes full advantage of it. As an example for this case, I would say the most likely scenario is that quite a few characters could've filled the roles that Dory and Broggy will, including but not limited to any of the other giants that are friends with the Strawhats, but Oda was somewhat aware that Little Garden was around a 1000 chapters ago, so they were the best choice for callbacks. Then they could've showed up anywhere between idk, 1104 to like 1110 and Oda just moved things a bit to make a 116-1106 reference.

Tek remember Saturn wanted to make Vegapunk suffer. He told him he would destroy everything he values and kill boney in front of him just to inflict as much suffering as he can. Basically. Once Vegapunk had lost everything he would be killed. The Bonney being above the 🔝 of the command structure. Moved his execution ahead of schedule.
Wasn’t the first thing Saturn said: “Tell me, Vegapunk. Who dies in what order?” That kinda made it clear to me that Saturn’s top priority here was to inflict as much suffering as possible on Vegapunk. The only reason he stabbed Stella at all was because he was furious about being humiliated by Stella.
In regards to why Saturn chose now of all times to finally strike VP was more I think him being embarrassed. Some lowly little insect snuck something past you and everything's going to hell anyway, he kinda snapped like Kaido batting Luffy off Onigashima

Regarding how the pacifistas could hear Bonney, in chapter 1102, Kuma said Vegapunk gave him superhuman hearing, so we can assume the pacifistas got that as well

Pacifists do actually have super hearing. This was confirmed during the flashback when Vegapunk said that Kuma "wasn't supposed to hear that" and Kuma responded by saying "You were the one who gave me supersonic hearing." This is how the Pacifista can hear orders from across the island and why they have those sound waves around their ears

I like to imagine that Saturn was so far up his own ass that he wasn't gonna kill Vegapunk until he had broken and destroyed everything he had worked for, kind of like a "i will break your spirit and then I will break your body", but seeing that vegapunk had hard programmed in a way for a lowly human pirate to quite literally be above him in ANY kind of way just sent him overboard. I'm down for you to do a 'best cover page' tier video. Saturn specifically didn't kill Vegapunk before now because he wanted Vegapunk to suffer slowly. He wanted Vegapunk to watch absolutely everything be destroyed and everyone be killed, and only then would Vegapunk be allowed to die. But, now, Saturn's pissed and no longer letting Vegapunk live. I didn't have Dory and Broggy on my list for who was coming, but I did think that it was Hajrudin and his crew. Tried to read Vinland Saga, but it got too real. Once the people we followed starting to grape the female spoils, I had to walk away. Thorfin didn't participate, which I at least appreciated.
I got my friend into one piece, hes huge into viking stuff so little garden REALLY got him into one piece with the idea of elbaph and the giant pirates with their norse inspiration, we just finished the whole cake anime and so it seems he'll be caught up for elbaph/dorry and broggy which is so perfect for him
Considering Elbaf is one of the closest islands to Egghead, I guess it makes sense they'd come to help. Though regarding Luffy, I think he's going to focus his attention on fighting Saturn while Sanji fights Kizaru.

The military power of pacifistas being behind Bonney's command gives her longevity in the story because we will probably need the pacifistas on our side for the final war. Maybe this gives more legitimacy for her becoming a straw hat or at the very least traveling with them for a while. Before that revelation I feel like it would've been completely fine for her story to be an isolated thing but now she is a key piece in the upcoming war.
until this chapter i was totally on board with bonney becoming a strawhat. but now that she has her own private army I think she is going to join the revolutionarys. They really could use the extra fire power. The only way I see her still becoming a strawhat is if all the pacifista get destroyed.

I'm so happy to see others appreciate Usopp and mourn his loss of focus and screen time. Often being an Usopp fan feels like being on the backfoot and constantly dodging and shooting down slander. I'm so excited for Elbaf, I caught up to the manga in 2017 and have been waiting since then, and most of this fandom has waited much longer than that! I'm so grateful to read this manga and be part of this community.
My guess why Saturn didn’t (maybe) kill Stella earlier is he wanted Vegapunk to see Egghead destroyed first, but when it was revealed Bonney had Pacifista priority Saturn couldn’t contain his anger.
I think it was also because of something like wanting vegapunk to see his satellites die in front of him. Which would be unrealized if vegapunk dies first before the rest of his satellites do...
I just remembered when Bonney was talking to Saturn she mentioned getting Nika to save and help her father Oda shows a panel of Kuma after Vegapunk saying Luffy is Sun God Nika which was interesting to me.

I think Vegapunk was speaking to Atlas through an earpiece (they look like phone call speech bubbles), and Bonney gave the order to Kuma/PX0 who was next to her, and it was then transmitted to all of the other Pacifistas.
I'm disappointed that Franky didn't get his day in the sun, but seeing how Egghead turned out, there really wasn't much time to squeeze some character spotlight for him amongst the family drama of Bonnie/Kuma/Vegapunk/Kizaru/Sentomaru. I hope that he gets to learn a lot from the Vegapunks after they've made it out relatively unscathed.

Well, I guess that this chapter confirms that eating his fill puts Luffy back to full power. There goes Kaido downplayers claiming that Luffy also got weaker along with Kaido, making it an "even 1v1" despite Luffy and his friends ganging up on him. Remember that Yamato confirmed that Kaido is feeling the damages he got long before Luffy ate his fill.
Not to mention, awakening to Gear 5 restored Luffy back to full power WITHOUT any drawbacks from his "death" except from some scratches. You don't resurrect and get stronger without any restoration involved. Luffy didn't even retain any life-threatening damage that "killed" him in the first place. Even that "death's door" comment was revealed to be a freaking drawback for using Gear 5 regardless of being "fresh" and battle-ready.
This chapter doesn’t confirm anything you just said. It’s literally the exact thing we saw in wano already. And Kaido getting jumped by fodder didn’t do any damage to him. Can’t believe people are still using that stupid ass excuse.
It feels so bad to be a Marine fan. They can’t catch a single win since the new world. Goodness gracious I have no reason to fear them at all. Even an admiral and a celestial dragon don’t feel that much as a threat

My heart was shattered when Smoker was low-diffed on Punk Hazard and then those shattered pieces were ground into dust when they revealed that two civilians were promoted to Admirals as there weren't any strong enough Marines to promote :( Vergo is the most impressive so far and he was a turncoat pirate

@@aleccampbell7707 They were still fighting after the time skip. There was a cover scene of them fighting and punching each other with the newspaper flooring behind them. I forget if it was after dressrosa or when the Strawhats returned. They had only just returned to Elbaf. Even in that chapter Shanks said "I heard some friends had finally returned," or something along those lines, implying their return was recent.
11:34 Yes, the Pacifistas do have super hearing, Kuma mentioned that was one of the modifications Vegapunk made to his body (so it's safe to assume every Pacifista also has it). That's what the panels with the sound waves are supposed to represent every time an order is issued to them.
My guess is that Dory and Broggy didn't finish their duel, but they agreed with each other to make Luffy their captain after they heard the stories from Oimo, Kashi and Hajrudin and then seeing his new bounty poster.

This part of the story is reminding me of the Vegeta or freeza fight in dbz where the odds look absolutely grim in every single way possible But a last minute save that just gets the hype pumping everytime. It's incredible

It was confirmed in a previous chapter Vegapunk upgraded Kuma's hearing. He's likely gone and done the same with the Pacifista who take verbal orders so it makes sense they would hear Bonney clearly with the bombing going on around them.
