I love how Ace used Haki to save Luffy's life as kids, and then Luffy did the same to save Ace's (at that point of the story).

People just don’t know how strong shanks has to be, he probably dominated every haki to the fullest since he does not contain a devil fruit. He probably just has the conquerors Haki’s aura around him since he didn’t quite “activate it” while entering whitebeard’s ship. And mihawk is the world’s best swordsman because shanks doesn’t give a fuck.

@@lukeskywalker514 He said it was too much effort. Also Oda confirmed that Mihawk is stronger than Shanks by only a small margin, however, it could really go either way. Mihawk wins extreme dif and would probably lose most of his limbs in order to kill Shanks.

He did originally. It's a retcon by Oda. I believe it was that he was so strong/scary that even the Sea King would back down, but when Oda decided to add Haki later to the story as a new form of powering up, it also explained Shanks and what he did.

With so many people that knew about haki and had conqueror's haki, its amazing to me that no one used any haki to save ace except luffy

If Whitebeard had Conqueror's Haki why didn't he use it at marineford? Start out with that and get rid of the weak ones. There's no reason to waste energy on them, if he could just stare at them, then they could focus on the tough opponents.

i bet he did not use it because mostly every one in the marine can use it, and because you can only use it abut 2 times when your fighting

MADMAX 4 ROAD LINKS/MAD SQUAD JOSEPH But Luffy could used it and many fainted, which to me sounds like a good strategy to start with. Like Luffy did at Fishman-Island. I don't recall this 2 times limit, but once should be enough.
