Nice to hear from you again. I had started to think that you had abandoned your channel. Especially given the usual content that you offer for our delight at the backend of the year, looking forward to your next posts.
Scott forty years ago I used to come up to Hereford Auctions on a Wednesday and buy 50 Rabbits and sell every one Thursday morning at our Greengrocers shop at Treorchy, My father would tell me about the Rabbit Dinners they would sell when I was a child, It would include a Rabbit, Cabbage, Swede, Carrots, 5Lb Potatoes, for Sixpence,
Great to see you back on here! A minute in and I’m hooked. Boom, off come the legs. Bosh! Off with the head. Skin, off! Such clean work. I love watching you show off your craft.
Always watch the videos, this video I watched while I thought the Mrs was still at work, until I heard high pitch sobbing, she's caught me watching videos before of flesh been exposed but never been reduced to tears until now.
Would this meat benefit from being vacuum sealed ? I don't know how long you're keeping Mr. Bunny in the freezer, but if it's for a month or more vacuum sealing will keep the frost off the meat. Nice video !
Great video but Ithe point at which you chop off the head reminds me of a story my 89yo dad tells of buying a rabbit during the war....my grandmother sends him off to the butchers to buy a rabbit, he sets off and he hears her shouting "make sure the head is on it"....he gets to the butcher and asks for a rabbit with the head on, the butcher is a bit short with him, which is upsetting for an 8yo boy, but none the less he comes home with a rabbit. Curious he asks my grandmother why the butcher was cross with him....my grandmother replies..."it could have been a cat!" 😂😂
I've never had rabbit before, but I would love to try it. On any of the rabbits you catch, were you able to preserve the fur? Thanks for sharing this. Cheers, Scott!
