This made me swell with pride and gratitude. To see this beautiful gathering of brothers and sisters, children, is fantastic! Thank you for sharing. Please chant, pray for our people everywhere.
I'm from New Zealand. After having spent 8 hours watching these videos I have concluded that Native American women don't age. And I'm 1000% sure y'all know magic ✨ I've never seen so many beautiful people
The attire of the dancers is so elaborate and beautiful. Many hours and hard work in making them. All are each unique. Love the variety of colours. Great energy.
I live down south now but most of my friends back home were either Mohawk or Seneca.I remember going to a Jingle Dress competition. One thing that stood out was Patriotism. The Tribal Elder asked for all the Veterans to Stand,I stood and we all got a standing ovation.Great people today we need people like the Native Americans more than ever.Always remember they were here before us and respect their land. Some may not like what I say but it's the truth.
I just happened upon this. It was so mesmerizing for me to watch and listen to......I realized at the end that I had been tapping my hands on the chair the whole time....I wish that I had been born in to a dancing culture...

Beating to the same drum, each unique in their dance. Beautiful to see so many BE their Tribe. The colours, the bells, the dances. Really enjoying this, hope everyone there did too ❤️❤️❤️ what’s with the numbers though? Australian here, not sure of the reason
Hi Jody.... thank you for the comment and the channel visit... Powwow has non-competition dancing called Inter-tribals, all are invited to participate, even the spectators... then there is competition dancing, that's what the numbers represent... Registered competition dancer in certain categories and also in age range groups... tiny tots, juniors, teens, jr. adults, sr. adults, jr golden age and sr. golden age... hope this help... take care... :-)
I have tremendous respect for Native Americans. I hope to one day experience a PowWow ceremony. Is it possible as a tourist to attend such events or is it usually a private event?
