Superb video. Since I got my Miyoo Mini + your videos are a constant while I search for answers, I might save time sticking to your channel from the get go, lol.
Many other guides tell you to change the name of the Doom WADs to doomI.wad and doomII.wad. This is no longer the case with the latest update to the ports. Maybe you installed the collection a while ago and not sure if you have the newer version. If you ever need to verify what the files names should be go to this timestamp 05:21
On MM+ I have not found a way to type your own name in . I had to just back out and go back in until the name generator picked something that was decent enough.
Yeah there are only some slight differences. I'm not sure if the Hellfire expansion is available in the ps1 version. Even if that is the case, I like to play the original non-hellfire myself.
When on your device go to Games hit the Select button then Refresh all Roms. Then go to Ports and it should show "~Import Ports" as an option. If not let me know ill find send you a copy of it to add to your folder.
Here is a link to download the imports file. drive.google.com/file/d/17AwfvotA3f8CIY8lsOnCU7D61C4O2uQl/view?usp=sharing Download this then drag and drop it into the Roms > PORTS> Shortcuts folder. You may need to Refresh roms again after doing this.
I followed your guide to install DOOM 1 and 2. I get as far as they show up in my Onion OS, with cover art etc. But when I run them, it loads for a few seconds and then returns me to Onion OS. So it does not work for me... I took the WADS from the Doom 3 BFGE Install directory (and renamed them to what the Shortcut is indicating it needs to be). Is that maybe the problem?
The WADs should work from the BFG edition. It sounds like you have the WADs named correctly but it is case sensitive and that might be your issue. So for doom 1 is should be "doomu.wad" if we have the same version. If it shows "DOOMU.WAD" you will have to make it all lowercase.
