It’s great catching up on your backstory of the trail. I can’t believe it when you said that that part of the trail was flatter. I remember getting to the top of Albert Mountain last year it was so steep. I had to put my polls away and use my hands. But then again on that day for me, it was raining hard . Hope all is well. Albert Mountain in 11 days is a good average for the start of your hike. Listen to your body. It is telling you something when the pain does not ease up as you get more miles and acclimate to the trail. I had foot problems and had to change my insoles to super feet before things got better. Just a suggestion though. Another thing to try is using a different way to lace your shoes. Hope you find some relief. Hike on Hootie.
