We have been in a recession since they changed the definition.

Yield curve isn't just inverted, it's steepening. The steepening has never not led to a recession. This will be a collapse. More debt than any other country in history. We produce little, consume a lot. We're basically a 3rd world country masquerading as a 1st world one.

I apply to 103 job for a level entry job, and only had 1 interviews, most never even responded. I seen mostly Job listing there posted over a month ago so it goes to show they never had intention in filling that role

This is why they day economist have predicted the last 10 out 3 recessions. They only look at past indicators to make a prediction.

No matter how close to a crash I think we are I never seem to invest in gold. Stocks do some of their best days just before a crash and its impossible to buy the bottom. How do others prepare for a crash? If your wrong and not invested you could be missing out on the best days.

Another thing worth considering is that the majority of new jobs in the US over the last couple of years were due to an immigration influx. New arrivals to the country impact the economy in vastly different ways to those who were born and raised there.

Its not a recession. The top companies have been doing amazingly, its been the best year for rich people in a decade. Its just the middle to lower class who are suffering, their growth is at our expense. The culture of perpetual growth was never sustainable and the collapse is practically inevitable

I'm rather sceptical of this analysis. While it is true that initial claims will go up in a recession, I'm not sure it's reliable signal, at least in some of the examples. The 2008 crash was caused by overleveraging and fraud in the CDO market, the idea that it could have been predicted by looking at initial claims seems like a far stretch. But maybe I'm wrong. I guess we'll see in 3 months. Afterall, the stock market does seem quite expensive atm.

This gonna be another Great Depression, the US is reliant upon the Japanese buying government bonds, however after the constant weakening of the yen due to the Japanese carry-trade and the recent rise in interest-rates at the japanese banks, Trillions of dollars just fucking vanished. The US isn't gonna be able to print money for a long while, there will be hundreds of millions people affected, but afterwards there will be hope.

the thing is, all these old metrics for economic predictions are all pre AI. With AI incoming, jobless claims will go up as AI replaces people jobs. The only reason we arent in a recession right now is because of AI.

Except that the exact same curve happened a year ago... and nothing happened. As someone who's in the job market... lots of jobs out there and i'm in tech, the area that's supposed to be most depressed right now. also when you show the graph of the yield curve "staying flat", you conveniently don't highlight where the yield curved up before because it didn't match your case. Only in the first example in your graph is it somewhat flat before the start of the recession but even in that case it was a rise immediately before, just not significantly above the previous peaks. In the second 2 examples it's clear that they rise before the recession starts, so what you're saying is at best not accurate and at most deceptive. I'm bailing from this video mid way through as it is obviously nothing more than a fear video IMO more likely because fear gets views more so than the creator truly believes what he's saying...
