I ordered two from Walmart online in Los Angeles. I received them with the blue free TV button remote and I believe they are backlit buttons. They shipped from Arizona.
I added surround sound to mine. Added function to turn on both TV and surround when pressing power button. When pressing power button to turn both off, only TV turns off. Buggy.
I got it a week ago! It’s very good I got the hook up to run it on higher Ethernet speed usb 3.0 ethernet and upgraded to an aftermarket HDMI. I’m very pleased with it. And it an has a feature which can help beep the remote if you loose it.
The space on the device is why I ordered it. Now I will not run out of space quickly like on my Amazon Firestick. I can add the apps I need without worry. And it also sideloads content like Amazon Fire TV. I only got one so the main TV will use this. The three other TVs will use Firesticks.
You should do a video on your keyboard set up. I copped the same one and I haven't found it to be as convenient as I would like. Using TV Quick Actions also.
When you say you are not sure why people ask about Bluetooth capability, imagine others in the house are asleep and you are listening to something on your streaming device at night. Wireless earbuds is one of the most useful features I use daily almost on my Nvidia shield. I imagine people wonder about Bluetooth capabilities because they want to pair their earbuds with it to not wake up the entire house at night. Very useful feature some of us use almost daily.
Thanks for making an update video. I'm sure there are more things that you will be testing. Is there any chance that you might be able to test the storage format in which this device uses, as far as the USB port? example: FAT32 or exFAT? and would you be able to test a USB hub with gigabit ethernet to see what speeds you might get?
yes, would love to see if you can hook up an external hard drive (like a large one - maybe 1/2 TB minimum) for storing movies for Plex... or just native playing
i think i've noticed a difference in audio volume from channel to channel on eye pea tv,something i hadnt noticed in cheap chinese android boxes. one channel is quite louder than the next
Hi, when you want to watch your local TV channels do you just turn off the TV using the onn remote and then turn on your TV with the TV remote using an antenna?😊
I know I asked this before but can you make a video about Amazon, Google and Apple media echo system. Ad far as their speakers, tablets, media devices. Photos, movies and music thank you in advance
@Triple M, could you please put in apps only mode & see if the hands free option will still work? On the previous generation of the Onn boxes, it doesnt.
This box is okay but has one major problem. Netflix is always in Dolby vision or HDR. The Dolby Vision matching does not work for Netflix. Fire Sticks, and Nvidia Shield Pro, even the Chromecast with Google TV does all the Dolby Vision matching correctly.
That’s the one glaring problem ..I found after having my 4k Onn Pro for over a few weeks now…unfortunately after trial and error…when it comes to Kodi…this device does not pass through the audio formats you mentioned nor DTS…however I found using the Stremio app will pass through all the DTS and audio formats with this device…I’m hoping since Stremio can achieve the formats using this device…maybe they just need to do a firmware or software update that allows this device to use Kodi for these options🤔
Anyone Try KODI on one of these? I have a TCL Google TV and KODI does not work, all it does is lock the TV up and have to unplug it to get it to work again. Wondering if the box is better than my TV to run KODI.
I can't believe you didn't react every utterance of "hey Google". How am I supposed to watch your video on my TV? I'm not going to wear headphones or unplug my Google Home.
