I was testing the JBL at Walmart, very clean super nice bass $349 price I moved on to test the groove onn IPX4 and it sounded nice with a very nice bass as well at $149 I ended up buying the onn one. I wasn’t disappointed at all. Great speaker!

Picked up two of the onn LPS2 with an open box special for less than $100 each (boxes were jacked but speakers were fine). I picked up two speaker stands and I’m only in $240. Very happy!

Very good. Also, with my S23, it comes with dual audio. I can pair both the speakers to my phone. That's a fun feature to have. I use it all the time. It's actually stronger than pairing one speaker to the other and then to you. I tried that and they would blip often. When I paired them both directly to my phone, that issue was gone.

I love good audio. So I would personally go with the JBL if I had more money to spend. I’ve had a party box and I loved it. However, I’ve always loved giving budget brands a fair chance. From the reviews, and especially this one, I can honestly say I don’t feel afraid to go out and buy one. It’s also going to be easier to convince my fiancé to let me buy the Onn speaker as it’s cheaper and it sounds pretty good for that kind of money! Thank you for the comparison!

Kudos for testing off-axis. You're the first reviewer I've seen to do that. And it was a deal breaker for the Onn

i bought the Onn a few weeks ago to use on vacation and was completely surprised how well it sounded for $150. I was 100% ok with the purchase and it was gonna have a place in my room at home for sure.. it worked flawlessly for 4 days,. then, i started having Bluetooth issues. from 10 foot away it would disconnect and go back into BT paring mode.. it would then reconnect and of course would mean id have to unpause the audio on my phone again. At first it was sporadic and I wrote it off as interference, however, by the end of the trip we were hanging in the hot tub and from 10 foot away it would disconnect every 15 minutes or so then reconnect again. After getting out of the water to unpause my audio over and over I was pretty well done with it. I took it back the following day. I thought about getting another, but i was just spooked by the weird issues and decided to go back to JBL.. I ended up with the Party Box encore and i have 90% of the volume of the ONN with a clearer audio, in a much smaller package. There is a little sacrifice being that the Encore is half the speaker of the ONN, but the convenience of transport for a vacation speaker is well worth it and i fell like the quality of the product will win in the long term.

I just ordered the onn large speaker from Walmart, $150. I then discovered the Monster Rockin Roller 360 at Sam's club for $129. Which one is better? I'd like to know before I open the Onn speaker.

For the price difference in sound, the Onn is a better deal i think. Not to mention with the bass dialed back a little like it is in the Onn, it makes it a little better for all genres.

I have the onn and the Jbl on the go but the on the go is much more louder than the onn but is the 110 much more louder than the onn and THE BASS is good on the Jbl ? Thank

The onn sound is ridiculously good por 119 at walmart in south Texas 👍 Imagine 2 of the onn speakers and still cheaper than 1 JBL (I'm a JBL fan but more than 300 bucks it's not worthy)

Just got the onn gen 2 , gotta say i expected a bit more but then again it was only $150 , i have the w king D9 and its just as loud maybe a bit louder lol. The bass is definitely deeper on the onn gen. 2 ! I also noticed its a bit louder when you plug in the AC cord. Maybe i might keep it lol right now the PB100 is $199 at best buy and amazon so debating if i should return the onn and pay the extra $60 for the PB100 ?

You can get 2 of the Onn for just a little bit less than one jbl. I bet Onn would win that one lol I'm getting one Onn for my bicycle 😁😁

I just bought 2 of the onn branded ones, linked them together and holy crap. You can get 2 for less than the price of one jbl and it sounds better in my opinion

Im sure it wasn't a whole lot but having the jbl pointing at the side of the onn gave it a tiny advantage, shoulda had them facing away at equal angles instead of the onn facing into nothing and the jbl being partially facing a wall that is angled to reflect to the microphone, I wonder how much of a difference it made

Party box is wider when the volume is pushed. Would rather have 2 party boxes stereo then you get the width and still have $100 left lol. And eq you can do a loooot.

Does the Onn use a standard size tripod/stand hole? It looks like the ridges on the inside may prevent a standard 1.4” tripod from fitting?

And im also about to go buy the onn gen2 large party speaker cause i see alot of good comments about it, ive never really been too happy w the low end or fullness of the bass boost on the onn large party speaker and it is too bright as jay would put it. The onn at 60 sounded hollow then again at 80 . JBL is the way to go.

you have to use partyboxes at bass boost 2 outside. the low bass doesn't reverberate much outside meaning bass boost 2 is better

not 100% sure, cos it's not clearly visible how you have set them up, but there is something to consider on the off-axis test... High frequencies only ever propagate in the exact direction of the tweeter. The JBL seems to be aimed at the ONN box and then the high frequencies bounce off and go towards the camera. The ONN speaker has nothing in front of it and so the high frequencies get lost more. This small detail can have a significant impact on the listening experience.

Slightly better but a LOT more expensive! And i like the way the onn sounds better. I don't know if you noticed or not, but the onn is louder than the JBL. The JBL is overrated!

Considering that the JBL is MUCH more expensive than the onn, and arguably very slightly better, if it's better at all lol, in my opinion the JBL should sound way better than the onn. So in my opinion the JBL party box is a rip off 😊😊
