I think they'll cut it off where the stone part is, it's some kind of molecular-level glue and you need nuclear energy to destroy it (or some Harry Potter thing)
That is what I was waiting to see - how they detached the face plate from the finished vase but that must be a trade secret. I was quite amazed how they could turn the block with out any kind of steady on it. Amazing workmanship.
@@CZAC - I guessed that is was either India or Pakistan - but why should it surprise me? The skill and ingenuity of people in developing countries never fails to amaze me.
@@fredgillespie5855 usually people see Pakistan in a negative light and its people especially due to Western media portrayal of Muslim countries as terrorist states
Skills of such artists always amaze me. The sad part is, the finished product is sold at hundred of thousands, but these craftsmen get paid few thousands only.
@@ovh992talking about Pakistani currency if you bought it for 150 dollar it's 37,000 rupees in Pakistan approx didn't check currency rate but it will me more or less then this. It is not even a wage ,wage is less then this.
I am completely amazed at the skill and knowledge of these men, crafting such exquisite vases that are made for adorning palaces and such like. Awesome gentlemen! Thanks a million for sharing.
Absolutely magnificent. I love watching videos like these because it’s simple, relaxing, and nerve calming. Though these craftsmen don’t seem like they make a lot of money doing this it has to be rewarding going home at the end of the day knowing you’ve accomplished this magnificent piece of work. I would love to be an international trader going to places like this and buying their handiwork and then selling it to high end specialty shops in places like Miami and Los Angeles. Edit: One added benefit of something like this made of real stone is that it’s not quite as fragile as ceramic pottery. This stone was made by nature in the depths of the earth under enormous heat and pressure for untold years that cannot be reproduced by man. I don’t know how much it would be worth in a high end shop in the United States but I know it would be worth quite a bit and worthy of a billionaires home.
It is incredible, the work he does almost by hand is very beautiful, l see that they are strong men and they do not protect themselves at all, l forget
Absolutely beautiful! I can't believe you do it without a tailstock! How do you ever get the drive plate back off the finished piece? That epoxy is amazing!
Ignoring the lack of safety standards that these countries have I have to applaud these hard working men who dedicate themselves to such a craft. Beautiful product.
I feel sorry for the working conditions. Dangerous, no ventilator, hard toe work boots. Eye and ear protection. One has to survive the best they can though. Beautiful work but at great human cost. You guys must be using some type of breathing protection when sanding, the tube going to your mouths. Thank you for sharing your art and hard work. My best to you.
Wow!!! amazing craftsmanship. I wonder how much it goes for at Costplus across America and how much these artist are paid for this hard work. Congratulalions to all the craftsmen involved in the project. Greetings from São Paulo - Brazil 18/05/2024
