I think with lingering mists you can cast mists on an army you are attacking so that you can take advantage of the clouds in battle. You can also cast it on your own army if you are expecting to get attacked. Basically you want to fight on a misty tile since it benefits you and hinders them.

a big combo for primal i found is tome of beasts wilderness sanctuary and sylvan primal megalith. forests are easy to get especially after glades tome but the amount of draft you get is nuts. you can crank out units quite easily and forests give alot of bonuses. (draft from favored terrain, city stability from green affinity talent, forest warden... etc).

I really like what you did with the Sabertooth build. There's quite a bit of overlap with my own version I posted about in your previous video, but also some really interesting differences. Btw, I'd consider canibalism for this build to give you a bit more healing abilities. It gives you some more staying power. I found I really benefited from it.

Btw, the dragon lord I went for in my version was very good at compensating for the midgame slowdown. I took the dragon out by itself to level it up faster so by midgame I had a REALLY powerful dragon compared to the enemy's units.

Great video as usual! Very inspiring! I read many posts that states that starting an economy in the ashlands is a pain, because chasms and the difficulty of placing foresters (thus losing building boost)... Did you felt that too, in your tests?

Yes, absolutely. It sucks, to be quite honest. Basically you should ideally stall the Shrine (cause that's when the Ashlands start spreading) and claim the provinces according to what you want there. But there's no way back and makes city building very one sided for these. My go-to strat was to just stall the shrine until I had all my provinces set up for the boosts I wanted. But that just feels objectively worse than with all the other Primal variants.

@@Ic0nGamingSame problem here. Working on my own sabretooth build here too. Good news I noticed is that the pyromancy tome gives you a forester special province. Bad news is the boost for that forest is based on surrounded foresters. But, at least you can build one. Whether one is worth building to get the boost for others though is a dubious value.
