Just wanted to say thank you for making these videos! You helped me move from clover to opencore and everything is running very smoothly. Your very informative and I appreciate you going step by every step.

Glad to see your slowing down your demonstrations a bit. Like you said, some people are coming astray with slight errors. Need to be really vigilant on each step.

Some great work here, I purchased a m93p as a result of watching this and had no problems getting Catalina installed. One issue to be aware of is if using a display port to hdmi adapter, you will likely get a kernel panic when the display is woken. This is a bug in the appleacl kext. This occurs cause when waking the display the kernel attempts to fire audio over hdmi and panics. The fix is to disable the appleacl kext (side effect is to lose onboard audio) and use a usb audio adapter, patch the kext or, disable monitor sleep. Hope this helps anyone having issues

By following a combination of your excellent video and the latest 0.5.9 OpenCore documentation, I was able to get my m93p up and running without any issues. Everything seems to be working and I'm amazed at what a usable machine this is. To be honest, because of the price, I was thinking this might be a bit of a throwaway project just to try out the Hackintosh process, but the result is way better than I expected! Thanks for your efforts putting together these easy to follow videos!!!

I want to thank Mike for all the help in getting my Hackintosh working. The problem was my 1600x1200 VGA monitor from 20 years ago (?) was too old. When I changed monitors with a 4K display port to display port cable everything worked great. Video, audio, sleep, and iCloud. Note while I was in the weeds trying to figure out what was wrong, I noticed you can buy a barebones m93p for $25 and put together a nice system for less than $100 bucks. Also, I noticed Mike did a build of another $100 Hackintosh - HP ProDesk 600 G1 which also has the barebone selling option. I found more of these on eBay so you have a better choice. Thanks again for all your help and I'm really enjoying my $100 Hackintosh.

Hey Technolli.I did battle for two weeks in order to install Catalina on my Haswell rig. (GA-Z87X UD5H + i7 4470K). And then I found you channel. donwload you files, follow your tutorial, adpat minor things and bang. Catalina is up and running at light speed from Opencore. After the installation, I did even try to plug back my AMD RX560 graphic card and it is recognized straight away. Not a line of config to change. So a big thanks you for your great tutorials. My next Mac is going to be with a ryzen9 3900x. Philippe

Thanks for this video. Works perfectly. Just for a bit of fun, I went on and installed Parallels. So I now have a Hackintosh that runs Windows 10 through Parallels. :-) Must have too much time on my hands.

Managed to get a M93p tiny from eBay, shipped for around $80. Dodged the "barebones" models without CPU :) Got one with 4GB RAM, no HDD. Added another 4GB SODIMM ($25 from Microcenter) and a leftover 256GB SSD. TechNolli, this step-by-step was perfect! I did install Catalina 10.15.4 , released yesterday. It took well over an hour to install even over my 100Mbps connection, probably because all the other Mac-heads were upgrading to 10.15.4 and loaded down Apple's software delivery servers. I used your other quick video to fix the Serial number, SSID, etc. The M93p is built like a tank, and is quite peppy. As you said, "great little guy"! Thanks for this content!

The m73p tiny has a Realtek LAN so I couldn't connect to the internet. Instead I used Olaria to install and moved the OpenCore EFI over. Everything is working great.Thank you.

Thank you! I just got my tiny93 up and running using this method on 10.15.4! So far the only “major” issue is after waking from sleep it freezes and I have to use the power button to restart hopefully I can figure that out soon!

Spent the last three days trying to get my USB to boot, My CPU is Skylake Intel Core i7 6700K, tried the Skylake config.plist on the opencore website to no avail and decided to use the Skylake-X config.plist settings for Skylake-X and now my USB boots without error or halting. Great tutorial. Been trying to get Catalina up and running with Clover for ages, looked at OpenCore but it was an information overload. This tutorial just made it really easy, awesome. Only problem I have is sleep, it won't wake at all. Any chance you could do a short tutorial on updating from one OC version to another?

I built this Hackintosh with the M93p Tiny following these great instructions. Worked fine first try with the exception of sleep. Goes to sleep fine, but the desktop freezes with a kernel panic upon waking. Did some Googling and suspected the serial port setting may be an issue, it should be disabled. My "Tiny" has no serial port, just a blank hole, so no setting to disable it in the BIOS. The only other issue is the graphics. The screen and resolution looks fine at first, but the dock on the bottom is not translucent, but opaque. The only difference in my setup is I am using a DVI to display port adapter, instead of VGA. These issues are no biggie, but it would be nice if it were closer to perfect. I did my first Hackintosh around 2007 on a Dell mini 10v netbook using Snow Leopard. Since then I have been using Ubuntu as my main OS. Rarely I need another OS for stuff like updating my auto GPS. I had been using Windows about 5% of the time, but I've had enough. This project was a cheap way to Mac during quarantine. Props to TechNolli! His instructions and guidance are clear and complete. Now if I could only get my AMD A10-7850K Mac-ing. That's a tough nut to crack, I'm afraid. Subscribed! Update, I replaced the EFI folder with the one from his download site and I now have sleep and wake. Still an opaque dock, but I think I'll leave it alone, the graphics are otherwise fine.

Thanks a bunch TechNolli!!! That was great work. I did this Install on my Gigabyte Z87, Core i7-4770 with internal graphics and got a perfectly running system within one hour. Then I dropped my old GTX660 in and this worked fine without any adjustments as well. The only little problem is that it won't go to sleep. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

If it is of help to anyone else, I have an M93 Tiny, but it has the i3-4150T processor with the Intel HD4400 graphics. It works perfectly. Now I'd like to do this on my M700 Tiny which has an i3-6100T Skylake processor and Intel HD530 Graphics.

Hi. Great video. I was able to get mine up and running with this guide and the other video on creating a bootloader using a mac. I got lucky when i bought mine on ebay. Mine had a HDMI port and the DP port. Both work for display, but havent tried multiple displays yet. The issue I have is getting it to display in 4K. I've seen others where they got HD4600 chips working to display 4K by updating lilu and whatevergreen. I loaded them and used propertree to do a snapshot. rebooted and still only in 1080p. Any idea on how to get 4K working? Also have a BROADCOM BCM4352 card coming to replace the intel wifi module inside. Do you have a video on how to get a broadcom wireless/BT card working? Thanks again and keep the videos coming.

Those el-cheapo PNY SSDs are surpisingly not bad (even without TRIM support). I have two of them in my Dell Precision T3610 running Catalina.

Note that your EFI folder also works fine on a ThinkCentre m93p SFF Desktop machine (I hate Lenovo's naming conventions). This is a machine that isn't a "tiny", just a rather small desktop machine that with a 4-core 3.2Ghz i5 (no hyperthreading).

Thank you so much for these videos! It was my first try making a hackintosh and it succeeded right away! I have a different haswell system with an Nvidia Gtx 1050 ti and just needed to change a few settings and kexts specific for my system (and I used High Sierra because nvidia). Everything is working, audio, Bluetooth etc. Except that the nvidia web drivers won't work, I am stuck with one monitor and no acceleration. Do you possibly have a tip on how to get web drivers working with OpenCore? :)

I noticed on another video that the chip can be removed and I think I have a i7 4770 somewhere around here LOL. As I said on the previous video, I am now looking for this particular model, here in France, that is not overpriced for a second (or more) hand computer ! So that this friend of mine might try macOS . She will be able to pair her iPhone 8 to this computer, and see for herself if she wants to spend quite a much bigger amount of money on a "true" mac (for according to me, an hackintosh has not been suited yet for newbies on a long term daily use ! This hackintosh would then end up hooked to my parents tv, and act as a media center). Will comment later, once / if I find such deal :-) Thanks for your videos, I enjoyed all the ones i've watched.

I am having a problem with an audio issue on another hackintosh Linovo y530 laptop. Audio used to work perfectly. For some reason it has just stopped working. If I boot from the USB it magically appears. I have tried copying the kext folder from the USB back on to the laptop but still nothing. I have also sent you an email. Just to confirm the after-market DP internal cable for a second screen (part code 54Y9350) fits easily into the white keyed socket behind the new DP socket, using chassis self-tappers. I set 128MB (IIRC) video RAM in the BIOS and it works fine. I can get 4k 30Hz and 2560x1440 (1440p) 60Hz no problem, but 4k 30 on both screens doesnt work with these settings. If you dprefer HDMI to DP on your second screen, there is also an after-market HDMI internal cable, but all the guides say DP works best - on my setup, with DP-DP, sound works fine on the screen speakers.

Tried to follow two of these guides so far - they have been rendered out of date very quickly due to the changes at OpenCore to the Dortania - dead links, different files. Shame really. The files on your website related to this video don't contain the files you show to be copying over either - they have a VBoxHfs.efi (IIRC a VMWare/Virtualbox driver?) so a bit stuck. While the guides are great work, they don't really tell us what or why we are doing anything shown so it's quite difficult to then figure out how to correct the issues ourselves.

A brilliant tutorial that worked first time for me. I bought one of these machines after watching your video. I paid £90 ($100) for it which I thought was reasonable even though it came with only 2gb of ram. I installed it without a hitch at all which given my other experiences with this type of endeavor is amazing. I have now put 2 x 4gb So-Dimms in which I nabbed from an old Acer laptop and it feels much snappier and the ram was picked up by the system info too. I just have one question though. I want to put this in a room that has no router and therefor no ethernet cable so how can I get online with it over wifi? Can I use some kind of wifi dongle? Many thanks for this great tutorial

Also, I fear I may have been the reason the for $1 donation required to access the downloads (been downloading the same "all files needed" a bunch. At the 9m54s mark you mention that if your hardware has a realtek vs intel ethernet controller then you need to copy the realtek kext folder into the boot image EFI/OC/Kexts folder. If you have both it and the intel kexts in place, to cover both cases, will it create problems? When downloading other kexts such as the RealtekRTL8111.kext or VirtualSMC plugins does one have to use the Debug version if they are using OpenCore Debug download or can/should you use the Release version?

So what would be the pros and cons of moving my perfectly functional M93 using Clover to open core? The only thing I'd hope to get is dual screen support as right now I can only use Display port to HDMI, and VGA doesn't work. It stays on 24/7 as it's a Caching server for iCloud so I'm not concerned with boot times. I used TEchnolli videos to get this up and running in the first place on my M93 and I've been so happy with it and I can't thank you enough. Any advice or info welcomed thank you!

Hey TechNolli! Love your stuff :) Is there any way to load Catalina without the internet connection? My lan port is broken and I use a usb wifi. Problem is I can't get past the macOS utilities screen where I would load the OS. I have Catalina on a USB drive but haven't figured out how to make that work either. Any ideas? Once I can boot into macOS I can load my wifi driver and I'm good to go.

I see a lot of questions about sleep issues. Technolli could you enlighten us on how to fix sleep or what could be wrong. My monitor sleeps and wake but the fans on the m93p never go off so the machine itself does not sleep.

Technolli, Hi, thanks to this guide i purchased an m93p tiny! I downloaded your exact efi from your site and my hackintosh is running! However, one strange error, after mounting the efi and copying the appropriate EFI from the usb stick, then unplugging the usb stickm when i restart the system it just hangs, not ever booting to the desktop, just a dark screen. EXCEPT, when I unplug the device from the wall, then restarting it, it works fine but I cannot get it to start again until i unplug the system. Any advice? Thanks! BTW my bios settings are similar to yours except I cannot disable the serial port, it is not in my bios.

Hi Technolli, Loving your Hackintosh videos, friendly and great explanations. Having watched this I found myself an M93P Tiny waiting for my 16Gb memory to arrive, but have installed Catalina, initially wondered why I couldn't get past a point when booting from USB, just before the Mac OS Loader would take over, just ended on a black screen. Fixed by swapping off VGA to the DP!!! Now with DP to HDMI, sound works, but no volume slider available in the OS, is this correct? Also I am having problems with Safari playing Netflix or Amazon Prime. Solved by using Firefox, but the new TV app will start to play then stop arguing about DHCP. Also tried with DP to DP cable and same problem. I have managed to update my serial and have seen posts about changing system to iMacPro1,1. Is this a fix and how to we do that?

What about a Dell Optiplex 3020 Micro since it has built in WiFi? Also, you can get the Lenovo ThinkCentre M93p with built in WiFi as well. Do you know if that is supported? If not, how do you solve the issue of WiFi?

At 30m mark you mention that in bios Intel Virtualization can be enabled but VT-d can be disabled. What happens if that is left enabled? I ask because on my x1 yoga 3rd gen kaby lake setup i had left it enabled and the opencore bootloader, using your kaby lake video instructions, booted macOS installer and subsequent macOS install with what appeared to be no issues but maybe i'm overlooking something.

I got it to macOS Utilities then Reinstall macOS but it says I need internet connection to install. I tried both kext from the OpenCore website for Realtek Ethernet but the same result. Technolli's link to drivers and kexts is broken. Here's a workaround. I used this video to install 0.5.9 instead of 0.5.6 and instead used the native 0.5.9 drivers and kexts as follows: /EFI/OC/Drivers: AudioDxe.Efi CrScreenShotDxe.efi HfsPlus.efi OpenRuntime.efi /EFI/OC/Kexts AppleALC.kext IntelMausiEthernet.kext Lilu.kext VirtualSMC.kext WhateverGreen.kext Use Opencore's sanity checker on your config.plist before booting. Use a DP-DP cable (no HDMI converters). My M93P booted to a strange wide resolution, so went to System Preferences/Display,s, then click on Scaled while pressing Windows Key, then chose 2560x1440. Then I used Zearp's Optihack guide to add a patch for 4k @30Hz - which is actually fine under MacOS (but horrible under Windows). He has lots of other good suggestions too. Everything works except the Intel WiFi/BT (not supported). I have an AzureWave branded Broadcom BCM94352HMB WiFi module on order, plus a DP cable for a second screen (connects to an internal socket). Lenovo's part code for this was 54Y9350 I've since bought a Cherry KC6000 keyboard which has full MacOS layout. Can even adjust brightness on my 4k screen from the keyboard! Hope this helps :)

come to this late and having trouble with getting the SSDTs since the swop to Dortania.gibhub, when tring to open the SSDTs required it goes to a guide and I cant see the source to grab. Any suggestions as to how to do this would be welcome

I follow your steps but when i run the step boot menu and select option 2 (macOS Base System (external)) and i click ENTER, the page lods but after some seconds its stop.
