So I just tried this and IT WORKS!!!! I don't have the exact same safe, either. It is identical in appearance except for the lock. I was skeptical that this would not work. It was bought off Amazon for around $50 and they advertise it as being MUCH more secure than it really is. I tried using my palm, fist, and heavy wrench to beat in various places on the top but no luck. I was about to give up after about 100 smacks when I tried a hammer and I think the trick was pushing the door in as I twisted the handle. SUCCESS!! SWEET SON OF MARY RIDING A SABRE TOOTHED TIGER OFF INTO THE SUNSET, SUCCESS!! I am now enjoying a nice little buzz off of some percs left over from an old prescription and $40 richer, not to mention finding my late grandmother's jewelry she left with me before she passed. Thank you and the other guy who made a video similar to this; I am a much happier young lady. LONG LIVE THE INTERNETS!!

Wow I can't believe this works! I lost my key to my safe today and I just tried one of the methods demonstrated in this video and it opened right away. I'm in shock. I just found out that there is a recall on my safe because it can be opened without a key or code. Hopefully the safe they replace it with will not be so easy to open without a key or code.

i found the best method of opening safe with potato: first take one large baking potato then scoop out hole and fill with C4. step two: insert radio detonator. step three: give to idiot willing to hold patato on the face of the safe. in avent of not bieng able to find idiot attach to safe with sticky back plastic. step four: retire to safe distance and press radio controlled triger. result will either be cash or mash.

OMG, I almost bought one of these. I'm in Korea now and thought it would be good to keep my documents and stuff in. They are $40 to $80 depending on the size. I guess the Sentry Safes sold at Walmart and Home Depot aren't much better. Just use a big magnet!

I can confirm this works! Bought a locked safe with no code and no safety key on an auction. Found this video and opened the safe in 5 seconds with a small hammer. Then i could enter a new code and now it works as it should :-) Thank you for this video :-)

I own the same model and it did not work. I tried it with different things including a hammer. My battery is low and I see a short blink and it tries to move the magnet, but it is not strong enough. As I did not know where the key is, I hoped to find another solution.

Yep this totally worked ! I used a 1x1x6" piece of wood and put this above the circular opener which was turned to the open position (clockwise) :-batteries dead and no key. . Struck firmly with a small hammer and then when I turned the opener it opened . Does this mean that if the police stop me with a bag of potatoes i could be 'going equipped to perform a burglary' ?

Next time, I'm going to bring a potato with me to the bank.

My safe is similar to this but bigger made by "draper" don't know if it's better in any way but ive try this method to crack it open didn't work (I used a hammer) although I admit I didn't apply as much force as I could have done for obvious reasons but according to this it should still open but it didn't..

Ways to open this "safe", enter 1234B, hit top of it, weak spring inside, use special "key", you find keyhole under plastic cover and if its not bolted on wall, you simple push reset button inside (thru left hole) and enter random pin code :D

I have a similar safe and I think it would work, but not on mine: Ive modify'd it to operate upside down, as upright, the safe's door fowl's on the closet wall. That solenoid spring is really weak and as mine is fitted up side down, it means the solenoid pin falls down to lock and is raised (against gravity) to open, So banging it wont shift it, rather assist in it staying locked. FYI to make it work upside down, I had to weaken the spring, so the magnet can pull against the spring and gravity

I got one of them too, but I hid in my back yard under 5 feet of dirt and put big rocks in there too so no one could get it out without being really strong. Anyway, I beat the problem AND I get exercise because I have to open it once or twice a day.

its the same technique as a bump key in theory. hes using a vibration to bump the pins inside the lock into place

i have the same one and it worked, so i took the back off and put a heavier spring under the solenoid and it works a treat,took me 10 mins . so potato armed thieves can try ya hardest.
