I've got them all. All 15 Hot Wheels Super Treasure Hunts of 2022. I've waited to open them until I had them all, and the time has come. So here we go.
"For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son that whosoever shall believe in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16
Absolutely love this style of video I hope you continue to do these every year. That 81 camaro looks awesome and that’s my favorite Gen of camaro as well. I’ll have to agree this years supers are definitely better then 2021 without a doubt
Actually stumbled upon the Studebaker Champ TH at my local Wal-Mart when I went to go buy a new mouse. It was misplaced in the tech aisle for some reason, so I just helped myself to my very first treasure hunt.
I disagree. Americans get a lot more cases in thier stores and they cover a lot more ground. That's why they find so many STHs. I've seen guys open as much as 13 cases in one video vs my 2-3 cases. I find all the STHs going only to a handful of stores, but I do get first choice. Many times the STH is already missing, so I know we get them. Just that corrupt store personal snag them in the warehouse.
@@marcoantoniomarquezperez2652 Australia is a smaller market than the USA and I keep tabs on nearly all the Australian forums etc and the reports of STH is low. I see people in the USA pulling three to six STH in one store where as here you’d be lucky to get one STH in 10 to 15 cases. Usually STH are found when a store such as Target or Big W buys a lot of cases in one hit. As I said I hunt most days and I’ve found two in 18 months. That’s the entire amount found in years of collecting. I missed one a few weeks ago as I was searching one dump bin and a bloke walked up to the bin I hadn’t been in and pulled a super Audi. So I’ve seen three in the wild in 5 years and all of those in the last 18 months.
Fantastic showcase. I love how you compred 2021 to 2022. My fav STHs between the two years differ from everyone else cause I'm a Muscle Car freak and I also grew up with the classic HW castings so.. Also depneds On the oes I actually found. CaseA: 55 Chevy(2022) CaseB: Grand Sport Corvette (2021) CaseC: Rodger Dodger (2021)(I was already repainting my regualr with Specraflame before finding the actual STH) (one of my top 10 HW castings ever) CaseD: Studbaker Champ (2022) Love my race Trucks) CaseE: Corvette C8(2022) Tuff choice. Coevette is my favorite car ever. CaseF: Honda Civic EK9 (2022) TBH I don't like this car. Found the RX3 last year, still haven't found the EK9, but i skipped the regular yellow one . Choosing this strictly cause the gorgeous Gold STH paint. CaseG: Volkswagon Kafer racer (2022) Another tuff choice, but that volkswagon is suped up in more ways than one. CaseH: Datsun Blubird (2021) Loved that it looked so different from the rugular version. Plus a beautiful color for a car. CaseJ: Porsche Outlaw(2021) Another STH I found. Plus my favorite color for a car. CaseK: 2018 Honda Civic Type R(2021) tuff choice. Love the Nissan's Color, but this my favorite Honda. Love the decos too. CaseL: Mercury Cougar (2021) Lambo is nice, but nothing beats a flames deco on American Muscle for me. You hear that Hot Wheels. You better bring back my flames Series in 2023.🤬 CaseM: '84 Mustang SVO (2022) pretty easy choice for me. Still looking for this one. CaseN: 1949 Ford F1 (2021) Classic Muscle truck wins it for me. CaseP: 32 Ford (2022) found the regular. Still lokking for STH, but once again classic coupe riding with my favorite color. CaseQ: Clasic Shelby Cobra (2021) Love my Camaros, but that Shelby is a star and my favorite STH for last year. Also I found 5 of these in the wild. Final Tally: 2021 (8) 2022 (7).
If I could edit I would only change 3, I like the Rodger dodger (because it’s nostalgic and my first super), the gold mustang (because it’s gold), and the Shelby, because it’s so clean. OLD WINS 9-6
We got great $upers in both 2021 and 2022, but i believe 2022 wins overall imo. Curious to see what Supers we'll get in 2023. Thanks for making this vid.
I remember when I was able to collect every super every year. The last two years have been a total joke when it comes to finding them on the street. Call me a quitter, but I don’t work in retail. And on the East Coast, Hot Wheels is just now starting to hit shelves again since Christmas last year. Hopefully everyone west of Texas got their fix
Can you ask Mattel to fix (or at least provide an explanation for) their patchy production and distribution of Hot Wheels. This year has been absolutely terrible for collecting Hot Wheels. Extremely poor supply of Hot Wheels basics, premiums etc. at all Walmarts, Krogers, DT, DG, FD. The only retailer with consistent supply this year is Target - but Target does not have sufficient quantities to make up the shortfall from other retailers. It is great that you showcase the latest Hot Wheels and Matchbox products, but Mattel are just failing to get product out to customers.
This I agreed 100%. Being in Singapore we used to get cases from Malaysia at $160-$180 per case. Dirt cheap considering each mainline in singapore cost $4. However this year they no longer supply any cases instead they are selling car by car, charging an exorbant amounts for cars like the miura, sian at $10 each! SGD btw! Not even in MYD! Which is why I stop collecting mainline. It's either master case or don't collect at all when they are charging that much, and cars don't get stock often either.
You do have a point & it does hit hardest to some of those who live in rural areas of their country, or the globe in general. Its absolutely bloody useless and dire to be a collector in the United Kingdom. I know we can be accused of "moaning/whinging" but very little reaches us and what does get to these shores is in short supply. If we factor in the extortionate import taxation fees to try shipping in good stock, the sellers who are trying to get supplies in, have to price them so highly to make the efforts worthwhile. The cheapest we an get a Carculture model will be £10/£15 online and if you do buy them individually at shops, it's £7. Even at that price, to make that worthwhile, you need to buy a few to sell them on & cover your fuel expense. Mainlines are (at cheapest)£1.49 or £1.69 at discount stores, otherwise £2 in a supermarket. Smyths toy superstores have (amazingly) knocked their mainlines down to £1.49, so they get rinsed regularly. The UK isn't a particularly cheerful place right now anyway, but I think a lot of collectors feel disappointed, disillusioned and annoyed, as the second-hand market is swamped with vultures, many people thinking diecast cars are as valuable as 2nd hand model railway items. Saw a market trader wanting £1.00 for beaten up Matchbox wrecks! He claimed "people buy em for the wheels!" Not in the condition this fella was selling them.... Given me a great sense of perspective in the hobby now. Appreciate what you find and be grateful when a really "good" thing comes up. Just don't expect it to happen every time you go looking. Like me finding an original 2012 Dodge Lil Red Express truck for £0.50 at a market. It was absolutely spotless, as fresh as it was 10yrs ago in fact. Enjoy the hobby but don't let it rule your life, otherwise it might get you down/affect your mental health, especially when you see the ruthless collecting to sell on ebay going on.
I will give you one or two positives about collecting..... A shop in a little town near me has a toyshop that sometimes gets some nice items shipped in. July the 1st this year, I'm looking at mainlines on all of their pegs (about 50 pegs!) & nothing new. Anyway, being a fan of Cobras, I had decided to buy the red one from 2021, probably to open & customise (I prefer the older castings with more metal usually). Anyway I looked closer and it was a STH from 2021, & as a bonus, quite cheap at £1.65. Recently I got lucky finding the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 , which has been snapped up regularly by ebay traders. I walked into another store about 20miles away, found 3 of them & a guy in the same shop was looking through them. I told him "the Essenza's in there mate, I left 2 because I only need one of it anyway. Turned out that he'd driven 13miles & this was the one he'd kept missing out on. He proved to be lucky for me as I also found a Team Transport with the Liberty Walk R34 Nissan too (something I've not seen since). It's these little nuggets that restore your faith in the hobby....
You just have to accept (if you're not rich and don't get thousands of dollars of free stuff like LAMEley) that you just wont get everything you like, want, need, or beg for.
Cool Video, and nice little cars 😊 What I do not understand is, that a lot of cars, don't have a full deko in front and rear. Why are there no lights even if they are only painted. There are some as we see and I think that makes the castings more complete. Or is that just my thinking and my sight is wrong?
It's all well and good but I just don't find them anymore. Been three years now since I last got lucky. I'm sure Mattel are making less of them on the short cards we get here in the UK
amaizing video amaizing 57 chevy, the dodge van even the regular is a beauty the studeabaker magnificent casting, the civic is the super of the year in my opinion even the regular is a masterpiece in my country the even the regular are sold for 8 bucks for the reselleers, the jaguar great car in real life and on black paint even the regular was special Mr.Lamley those guys of that shop has a tv program on speed chanel turbo or discovery i dont remember but they restore and old nissan z that win several prices great video mr lamley
Def gotta go with the spectra flame blue C8….def was car of the year in real cars, just wish they would’ve done a little more with it for this casting…in fact the blue, white, and red version that came out later in the year is my fav paint job so far for the C8…’81 green Camaro is pretty dope too
🤣🤣🤣. I dig the Dodge Van out of all of them!!!! The Deora 2 is still my favorite HW car. I still have my HW PC game (HW Designer), that came with a special VW drag bus. Still sealed. Never opened. Windows 95 🤣🤣🤣
I got that cobra same look but it doesn't have the TH on it. Got it in a 50 car box. There's some that have that special paint that said I'm assuming that normal cars also have that paint. Because none of the cars in it had the symbol on the card etc. I'm just now finding out how to identify the TH and supers or whatever it is. I'm going to have to look more often at cars, I'm pretty sure I seen that orange Lamborghini before
Dear Lamley, please ask mattel/ hw why new casting are around 10gram lighter than old casting ie. 64 impala vs 58 impala (this year small reborned treasure hunt). Many other cars with plastic bottom are much heavier than nevest.
Was so stoked to recently find the Nissan Skyline HT Super Treasure Hunt hanging on a peg at the 99 cent store. And a Dodge D100 Treasure Hunt (which I keep finding) Got the Nissan listed on eBay right now!
