I don't want to sound to historian here ☺️ , but I am older then most of you all. I am a 70's child. I used to see my fashionable aunt paint her nails with these pearly frosty polishes. They would come in with these cute tall gorgeous vintage nail polish bottles. I would love to see those kind of bottles come back. I would just watch her apply it and see that beautiful finish. That's when I came about loving nail polish. My aunt passed away from breast cancer when back in the day medicine was not at advance as it is today. So seeing theses polishes just made me think of her. I will for sure pick these up. They look beautiful. Thank you Phoebe for the review. 🎀.
What made you think there aren't more 70's children over here? I'm one too and just like you have SOOOOO many warm feelings for these kind of shades. My very first nail polish was pearly pink: It smelled like a chemical factory, had so many brush strokes you could use your nails as sanding paper and did dry as fast as 36 hours. So: I love this OPI collection!
@@tjoebatjoep Hello to the other older nail polish addicts out there!! My mom wore these kinds of shades in the 60's and 70's. I love the pearl finish, the shimmer finish, and the frosty finish on any color.

For the amount Infinite Shines cost, OPI could've easily used more shimmer. Easily. I'm tired of the lack of effort they put in versus the prices they charge. I'll pass on the whole collection. TFS though. :)
I have memories of watching my grandmother paint her nails and they were all frosty finishes like these. I was sad when I saw them harder to find but I’m beyond thrilled to see them making a comeback 🥰
I have always loved pearl finishes. I came to grips with the fact I'm weird a long time ago. I have the pearls and am going to order the infinite shines. Thanks Phoebe!
I love pearl/frosted polishes! One thing I have noted is that this finish looks most lovely on almond-shaped or oval-shaped nails. I guess the vintage shapes complement this vintage -type of finish. Thanks OPI!
I'm one of the weirdos that lives a pearl finish. The blue and pink are my favorites. The idea of sponging on the last coat is brilliant. Definitely going to try it. Thank you! 🙃
Great review Phoebe! These are all really pretty! I do not mind brush strokes at all, but I do prefer the infinite shine polishes here because I think they are more unique. Thank you for the beautiful swatches :)
Thanks for the beautiful swatches! I like shimmer but not pearl (can't stand the brush strokes). I was really excited for the IS colors but the shearness is a turn off for me, especially because the IS formula does take a while to dry. Think I will pass on these, my wallet thanks you!
Definitely going to pick up ‘Did you see those mussels?’ and ‘Shellabrate good times’ from the normal collection and from the Infinite shine ones I love the ‘Olive for pearls’ and ‘You’re full of Abalone’! I love a good pearl but don’t wear them all the time :) thanks for this video, I was looking forward to these swatches!
I love the shades in the Infinite Shine formula, especially Love or Lust-er. However, not sure if I will pick any up, as I'm not totally wowed. I enjoyed seeing you swatch the collection, Phoebe. TFS!

Thank God I came to see if you reviewed them. I ordered the regular polish last night thinking that was it. Now I ordered the infinite shine ones too. I would like to see how you sponge the pearl finish ones
I looove the IS shades, but the regular ones.... No no no naaano no, not for me. I do think frosts look great sponged on, but I don't got time for that.
I strongly dislike pearl finishes, so the first collection is not my jam. The shimmer polishes are pretty. Thanks for all your swatching, Phoebe, and for entertaining everyone while we're stuck at home more :-)
I look forward to your swatches as always! I like the sheer look since I have long nails and it's a subtle not in your face white smile lines on my nails. I also find it interesting about pearl finishes, but I think in certain colors, I don't mind the brush strokes.
Pearl is my all time favorite finish but OPI is not cruelty free so I don't buy from them. These are gorgeous and I would have gotten the entire collection.😩
The polish colors look very different between the photo were you are applying the polish to your nail and the still photo. The color in the still photo is much darker. Can you describe how light or dark the colors are really? Thank you for sharing. You always do a great job. I’m living for all these colors. I just wish OPI had added a bit more shimmer.
As soon as I saw the name of the collection I had a bad feeling. It would drive me to drink trying to minimize those brush strokes. Do you think this might be a trend? I notice Polish for Days is also offering a pearl finish polish. Ugh. My polish addiction might be in jeopardy.
The purple grey and the green in the infinite shine collection are the ones that I would definitely buy. I don't want to have anything to do with those streaky polishes from the regular collection though. Ugh!

I think it’s bc it looks like nail polish my grandmother used to wear and they look awful on me. I’m a cream girl in my fingernails. On my toes I’m a little more adventurous. I really didn’t like any of the regular line but I really liked 2 or 3 of the IS line. Thank you, again!!
I’ve recently figured out that my nails don’t care for certain cream polishes. I always end up with brush strokes. pearls and shimmering polishes seem to be more forgiving. Any professionals or non pros out there have any advice on how to apply creams so I don’t get shadowing or imperfect applications?
Does anyone know of any dupes for Love or Lust-er? or Olive for Pearls from cruelty-free brands? I love them both! (This is why I'm not supposed to watch OPI vids, ugh.)
I wish I could get into Infinite Shine. It just never has impressed me when I use it. The formula isn’t the best. But the colors in the IS collection are so much better :/
I am not super impressed with these. Love or Luster and Olive for Pearls were the two that I would consider purchasing. I am glad I got to see how sheer the second set was because I would have wanted more thinking that they would build better from the shimmer.

I love the colors but I am not a fan of the streakiness. Every single one has visible streaks in the finished look...and if thats the best a pro like Phoebe can get from them, I can only imagine what they would look like in my hands. Pass.
Congratulations, OPI. You're using up all of those hideous sheer bridal shades and even uglier decades-old frosty shades. And people are actually buying them. For top dollar. I've seen this trend coming as shimmers gained popularity and I've dreaded it. Even with the "exciting" "new" shades, you're very cheap with the amount of actual shimmer in these overpriced "beauties." PS Kudos to the individuals who come up with such clever names.
