The reason the guy was blurred out in one shot but not the other is probably because he was laughing or mocking how fake it is. Just my guess. I thought at first he didn't sign a release form but they show his face later.
I don't get it. I don't get why everyone in the audience isn't thinking, "I bet the ropes don't actually control the swords" even before the trick fails. Maybe that's why I'm just not a good audience for "magicians."
This falling sword schtick is stolen straight from an old Clive Barker movie from the 90s, Lord of Illusions, except in the movie it's actually dangerous and scary. Douchebag. I love how the crowd is so underwhelmed. Not only are the swords striking miles away from his body, but he isn't even good at pretending anything of significance is going on. Just poor showmanship all around.
Wait, so the Criss Angel one, that means if the set up hadn't been rigged, that audience member tried to kill him....cause it would have released the sword over his heart....tf???? No one talkin but the attempted murder? Wow 🤷🏻♂️
