I don’t know. I know moms, been one for 35 years. Mom looks like nothing would hold her down, and I bet if she works outside the home, then she has a management or supervisory position. This means she had to establish her alpha mom position in the beginning. She had to let the consultants know she was boss, so they better not try to pull anything with her daughter. When she pulled that $25,000 dress, I saw she had as many dreams for her daughter’s wedding as her daughter did.

At 2:27, I was practically jumping through the screen at that manipulative comment. Very similar to one by my mother, over 40 years ago, paraphrased: "Are we paying for your wedding here (100 miles from where I lived) or are you paying for your wedding there (where I and all my friends lived)?" I responded that the wedding would be where I lived - period.

You do know this is all just a bunch of hyped up lies, yes? There are all kinds of documenting videos and articles written all over the Internet showing that "reality" tv is anything but reality. The bridal shows are the biggest lies of them all, with the house-type shows being the tight second. In other words, don't believe what you see online; nothing is what it seems, and everything is manipulated to increase viewer angst and to increase ratings (they apparently succeed because more people get all uptight about these stupid shows than any other. Gullible viewers seem to love all the soap opera drama!)

Honestly though I prefer Randy's designs over Pnina's . Her dresses r over priced n not that amazing. Very rarely hv i liked any of her dresses. Randy's designs are very beautiful , magical whimsical.. ❤️❤️❤️

Saw in other comments that she did change her mind and wore a fishtail instead. Or maybe the mother backed out but could not do so in front of the camera because of pride.

And 8k is just the start, because it doesn’t count underpinnings, accessories, and alterations. An 8k dress could be 10k.

From what the daughter said as well as that impulsive offer I get the feeling mum might be in some serious debt and that this kind of financial decision making is very on brand for her

I live in turkey and im mind blown at how everyone is buying their dresses and how much they r payin for it! We rent it here and even if u buy the most beautiful dress it’ll be 800$

I live in México, so imagine me, with my dress of 800 dlls, incluiding everything and it was made in a good wedding dress boutique, with a good price.

I'm betting that the mother told her she can't have the dress after the camera's stopped rolling. Cos you can tell she was trying to back down with that "it's nice" comment

She didn't wear that dress. She got a mermaid and it was stunning on her. I'm glad she ditched that hideous ball gown. Her dress was similar to number 2.

It's sooooo true... My wedding dress is the complete opposite of what I think I would wear... 😅 Last year when I bought it - I wanted a form fitted dress with a lots of flowers and stuff on it... And a closed back, that I can wear a bra in it... And I got a light princess with satin optic and an open back... I couldn't wear a bra but I'm totally fine with it - I love it. Totally clean, minimalistic and not playing on the dress.... (Sorry for my English it's not so good... I'm from Germany.😅)

I'm currently in a relationship been with my boyfriend for a year before I got my man I fell in love with a randy fenoli dress called Anastasia when I first saw it online it was 3,900 now it's about a little over 4 grand i am determined to have that as my future wedding dress and will be saving up I'm just hoping the dress is still in by the Time I get engaged

From the weddings I've been to, I remember the food more. You know, nice sit down meal, good buffet with a great mix of food. I remember the church or registry office where the ceremony was held. I remember the people who were there. The friends or family I talked to. I don't remember much about the bloody dresses! Unless they were really unusual. The dresses I remember were mine (I made it), the navy one, and the pink one. Saying that, the pink one was last month, so that's a given.

One of my older cousins had a big fancy wedding with a fancy dress. My aunt set aside for my cousin wedding for years. The reason when she got married in her parents home in a simple white dress with a meal and cake prepared by her mother. She wanted more for her daughter.

When I married, she wanted the same thing for me and more with all the attendant invitations, gifts, dress, bridesmaids and dresses, bridal party, cake, flowers, thank you notes, etc. I made my own dress and the maids made theirs. It was way, way stressful for everyone. I would have preferred your aunt's experience. An acquaintance of mine a few years later invited me to her "wedding" at her parent's home with only 10 guests; I just loved it.

Yep, it is plain common sense. If you have a specific budget, look at the price first and find gowns in that price range and select from them.

But, how do you know het Mom is poor? Some Moms & Dads knowing that someday their beautiful daughter will get married, begin saving for both the Wedding gown & the Wedding. Often, relatives like Grandparents are more than excited to foot part of the Wedding dress bill, and sometimes all of it, as it is very meaningful to them. Something that important is usually not bought on a whim, especially at Kleinfeld's😊👰‍♀️

Don’t do a poor mother on this one. The “poor mother” insisted on an over budget dress. The “poor mother” didn’t like any of the in budget dresses that her daughter liked. The “poor mother” picked this actual dress and also one that cost 24 k. This is all “poor mother’s” doing.

I agree. I love corset dresses so the last dress looks stunning to me, but it makes me sad that they were bashing the mermaid dresses she looked so confident in. I do think it's reasonable to encourage her to try other styles because you never know, but they gotta acknowledge that even when they say "it's not you", it's still based on their opinions. Edit to add: also this is why I wanna work hard to buy things for myself. I don't wanna be taunted with the "I'm paying so I'll only get it if I like it, your opinions don't matter."

when they let the entourage pull dresses you know they're going to come with a bunch of overpriced pnina dresses because pnina is ALL they have on display out there. all the lower-budget gowns are in the store room in the back. if they had just let the consultant do her job they could have told her "find a ballgown with lace & bling for under $3500" and she could've done it. randy himself has designed a dress extremely similar that's well under budget.

It was obviously Pnina Tornai when I saw it so I was not shocked to recognize the signature style of Tornai which I actually don't like at all. I prefer a more classic look.

@@whatevergoesforme5129 The popularity of Tornai's "looks like a corset" top is a mystery to me. Some of Pnina's gowns, like this one, show more skin than a lot of actual corsets do!
