Ehhh. Stan never really had the tools beat Federer consistently. I wouldn't call any of their matches an example of Federer being "genius", just Fed showing how the 1HBH can be tactically superior against many players when used in conjunction with a powerful FH. Stan doesn't move well laterally nor does he hit well when moving especially to the FH side. Take the first segment in this video for example. You see Federer slice relentlessly to Stan's FH or BH forcing Stan to hit UP, preferably to Fed's forehand which Fed then swings out wide to Stan's FH, forcing Stan to run down the ball. However, Stan's lack of lateral agility automatically puts him in a very weak defensive position. He struggles to keep the ball in play, usually giving Fed an easy FH or BH finish or one ball away from a finish. You see this pattern repeated, point after point and match after match, with the exceptions being some of their matches on clay when Stan was in peak form.

Djokovic fell for Stan's game for a while until it clicked to Nole what Stan was, and that is a rhythm player. If you give him consistently fast balls he's the best in the world at it. After losing a few important matches vs Stan Nole would start to vary the pace on his shots dramatically and it dismantled Stan, that's why he never lost to him again.

Hmmm seems to me Djokovic always had trouble with Stan, not that he dismantled him

Can't erase the fact peak Novak lost 2 slam finals on different surfaces to Stan. Just statistical goat is Novak. Loses one in 3 slam finals he plays. Not unbeatable. Not the best ever. Peak fed, in his best yrs, only lost to clay goat nadal on clay. Grandpa fed in his 30th Yr gave 2011 peak djokovic an ass whooping. Imagine if fed ws at his peak.. Would have smoked peak Novak in straight sets.

Dude. Djokovic pretty much always beat Wawrinka outside of Slams. The Slams are where Stan ultimately gave him the most trouble. It's not that Djokovic finally figured him out at a Slam. He already knows how to handle him at events outside the Slams. He only played Wawrinka once more at a Slam after his last beating, and it was on his strongest surface facing Wawrinka who's still trying to make a comeback and is playing on his worst surface. When Djokovic plays Wawrinka a few more times at a Slam, and beats him convincingly, meaning that Wawrinka was also in good enough form to make it a contest, then we can say he's solved Wawrinka.

When stan was at his best in slams, novak couldn't do any damage...in fact 3 of his 4 losses in grand slams against novak were all close matches and it could have gone either way...imagine being 7-1 in grand slams against novak😂😂

Nonsense. 😂 Djoko is 4-4 vs Stan in slams when Stan was ranked in the Top 25. The overall is 5-4, with Djoko's most recent win coming at Wimby23, vs 38 y.o Wonka. Djoko is, indubitably, _the_ greatest vulture in tennis history.

What do you guys think will be the next era after Bathroombreakovic retires and the weakest era of all time comes to an end? I think it will be the "RuRuRuRu era, dominated by Ruud, Rune, Rublev, and Ruusuvuori. The crowd will shout, "RuRuRuRu!" for years to come!
