I feel the same way Oprah does. I grew up in a broken home and I don't want to pass those problems on to my kids. Don't have kids until you figure out how to resolve your internal problems. It's not worth making innocent children suffer.

@KiddRogers I never had any kids either, and I find it interesting when women ask if I have any kids and I say no, they say, "You're lucky." What does that mean? That they wish they DIDN'T ? I find that kind of sad, especially for the kids.

Many these days are so into themselves (the self) and adopt a selfish aproach and delete the idea of having a soulmate to enjoy life with coz they think they are complete in the self and don't need anyone to found a family. Some chose a homosexual lifestyle which is fruitless but there to fulfil the the lust for shelf thus no children from the self. I , myself have been given the chance to experience life by a woman who decided she wanted spring life and givebme a chance to live it with her. Of course my father as well is an agent for my existence. That is why I think this is an egoistic selfishness.

I know of someone who has had 6 children, but is not taking care of any of them. Five are in different foster homes, and the youngest is being taking care of by her mother. The mother is out there doing her own thing. She is having all these kids and other people are taking care of them. IMHO, I think that is being more selfish than choosing to not have children.
i don't why people judge other for not wanting to have children, in all each of us have the right to decide if, when and whether to have children, like they say, biology is the least that makes some a mother and I believe that oprah has many children already from her school in south Africa, she loves them as if they were hers biologically
I didn't have any children but somehow that was something I never thought about. I love babies and really enjoy being around kids but I never daydreamed about being a mom. I am now a stepmother and step grandmother and am very happy about it. I helped raise my grand daughter and enjoyed every bit of it. I feel blessed and I trust that this is how things were meant to be for me.
The only people who should have kids are the people who genuinely want them. We need to stop criticizing people for knowing that parenthood is not for them
I made choice at 21 (27 now) not to ever have kids. Simply because I'm poor. I can't provide for em. I would love to have kids, maybe in another lifetime. But life is too hard out there. Infact, I believe that only rich people should have kids. Poor people shouldn't have kids, especially if they can't provide.

The thing with children. I’m pressured to have children but I fear that I regret motherhood. I think Opera is a better mother than most women. She doesn’t want her children to suffer and rather be a mother figure for the ones who don’t have a mother.
I always felt that Ophra is a tough lady due to the adverse circumstances she had endured, but as a woman myself she is in my opinion really admirable.

My father, who was born in a different time, thought blacks should never have been either captured or purchased from tribe leaders in Africa (they were get over it) then dragged into civilization with the white and Hispanic world. He also thought that when slavery was abolished as it should have been, they should have been shipped back. He also didn't think black people should be on our TV's or have any right to it, among many other things because he believed they would be living like the uncivilized people they were if it weren't for us. Then he saw Oprah on T.V. and, after some time, he changed his mind.

08.06.2023 If we were to be perfectly honest, a large percentage of babies borne were NOT planned. Not saying that they were "unwanted"; just not planned. Also, I remember when I was a young adult & speaking with my Mom about her having 5 children. She was brutally honest & said if she could have had abortions, she would have.😐
