Optics Guide 8/17 - Objective Lens 

This series is an encyclopedia. I keep coming back to it as a reference. Phenomenal.

I really like that you are doing this series. It will give me something to recommend so that I don't have to get into detailed descriptions that are off topic for particular videos. Great job.

I've enjoyed the series so far. I just done a series of trades to end up with a few extra scopes, and I'm a little bit concerned that this will make me jaded. I've used off and on some very high-end scopes but most of them were for uses that weren't really what I did so they weren't to my taste. What would really mess with me is using a very nice scope that is a much nicer version of what I use scopes for. Every year is my eyes get a little bit worse I find that the quality of the glass I'm using makes a bigger difference for me being able to actually shoot and make hits. I think the ultimate luxury is having good eyes.

Thank you for another great video! I love to learn and this is an excellent optics class! I have picked up so much useful information that I have actually started writing a lot of it down and reviewing content from earlier videos to do that.

Man, some of those youtubers are on my sub list lol big shout out to all those guys man! Will have to recommend this playlist of videos for all the information here. I have been doing a lot of studying on long range shooting both on and off the Tube. I am kind of amazed at how much I have learned and love seeing if I can learn something new. Thanks man

I find your videos very informative, thank you. I noticed you saying that a good objective lens absorbs a lot of light. I would think that a good lens transmits a lot of light and absorbs very little. Some of the better scopes advertise a very high light transmission rate compared to the cheaper scopes that absorb a lot of light.

Are you sure that a larger objective lens equals better resolution if all other specifications are identical. With camera lenses a larger objective lens has less resolution. Thanks
