I have used your suggested layout and it is awesome. My only issue is opening up more land so that i can expand. I have started several other cities on other devises and use them as feeder cities so I can get items needed to expand. Thanks for the layout! I also have tried orientating these horizontally rather than vertically as you have shown and it works well. I'm going to attempt to remove the street separating the sections and see if more 16 residential sections can be added.
Firedepartment, police and stuff, i put em in a square in the middle. If you do it correctly, with the deluxe version of them stations and hospital and so on, it will cover a huge area.
its cheaper to have the deluxe version of them buildings and cover a huge area than it is to have all those small things.................. plus, extra room to build other shit.
adequate coverage? You aint using half of the coverage of them parks....... i know i know, late reaction. But no, sorry, this aint no Optimum city layout to be honest.
I am lvl 23....and i dont use..police stations, fire station ,etc....i got all the maxis manor and Nano-tech factories etc. but i dont know how to change a layout...will I have to bulldoze all buildings and create new one...or there is another way? My all expansions are open... Please help me.
Actually you need to delete the buildings or residential homes you don't need... delete all the roads....and place then rest of the buildings on one side....ofcourse you will have low population but with effort you can raise it again....plan a layout create a layout and then place the buildings from your inventory and think good and patient because you don't want to mess up your mind and do all crazy stuff......hope you like my advice
Don't know if you're still wondering but a lot of the buildings, (schools, parks, entertainment, etc), can be stored without losing them. Just highlight it as though you are moving it and over to the right, you should have the option to either bulldoze or drop it in a box. If you box it, next time you go to that specialization, it will show how many of those items you have in the "box"
So what about school and entertainment buildings. I used your method but the buildings stopped getting upgrade plans because you have to have 2 or more special buildings in order for the buildings to advance into skyscrapers and luxury homes I think
John Doe once you've upgraded a tower, move it to the outskirts (where he shows the plan for his 3rd and 4th row) of your city and replace it with a residential that needs to be upgraded. and they only need to touch 1 specialization building radius to access upgrade plans.
